Former FBI Assistant Director James Kallstrom knocked recently ousted FBI Director James Comey, saying he was not strong enough to hold the FBI’s top post.
“He just doesn’t have it in him to be FBI director. He is not a strong enough person,” Kallstrom told radio host John Catsimatidis in an interview that aired Sunday on AM 970 in New York.
“He lacks a lot of common sense,” Comey’s predecessor continued.
Kallstrom went on to rip Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday, in which he claimed President Trump had asked him for his loyalty and to drop the bureau's probe into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
“His performance the other day, I thought was extremely, extremely weak. You know the notion that he got all quivers in his stomach, and he got nervous and emotional and all this other stuff and he had to run back and write a memo,” he said.
The former FBI assistant director went on to suggest that Comey did not write memos during other ongoing investigations.
“Did he write a memo when they sent a criminal referral over on Hillary Clinton and said you couldn't call it an investigation? Did he write a memo when they wouldn't approve a grand jury? Did he write a memo when the Internal Revenue Service went after thousands of freedom-loving people in this country and terrified them?” he rhetorically asked.
“Where does this guy come off talking about writing memos?”
Trump has denied the claims made in Comey’s testimony and said Friday he would “100 percent” testify under oath to special counsel Robert Mueller, who was appointed to lead the probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.
Kallstrom, a frequent Comey critic, is also a Trump supporter. His Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation was the beneficiary of a $1 million donation from Trump following a fundraiser he held during his presidential campaign, according to The Washington Post.

Just read an article that said according to Barton Gellman’s Bush-bashing book, Comey wrote a similar memo- grandfather clock details and all- after a discussion with President W Bush.

That plane went down for several reasons and all avoidable.
The structural integrity of the air frame would not allow full deflection of the rudder at the airspeed of that piece of sh-t Airbus. The American Airlines training program did not incorporate these limitations in their training program relative to the piece of sh-t they were flying. The aircraft encountered extreme turbulence after take off and the pilot imputed full deflection of the rudder to correct during his climb out. The piece of sh-t Airbus tail then broke off. The pilot was operating within his training by American Airlines. Unfortunately he was flying a piece of Sh-t!
