When I was like 13 and my cousins and I somehow got our hands on a porno, Adam West was in it.
He was straight faced even in that.
We were 13. What did we know?
Anyway, Aunt Millie found out and beat my cousins with “the spoon” and made me sit on the couch with no TV :)
BTW, all three boys are VERY successful. Not that I’m condoning the spoon.
RIP Adam
RIP Mr. West.
My mother thought Batman was too violent & banned it, but while she was making dinner my father & I would flip the channel & watch it!
Sad.
I shall pour out a can of Bat Shark Repellent in his honor.
When Dad got home from Vietnam I couldn’t wait to get him to watch Batman with me. It was my favorite program.
Comic book characters never grow old
Evergreen heroes whose stories were told...
A part of my youth is gone. Again.
Holy Eulogy Batman!
Despite the seemingly countless Batman remakes....most of them trash....there will always be a place in my heart for the campy TV show of the 60s.
Good clean fun. I will never forget Adam West in the movie, hissing bomb in hand, looking desperately for a place to dispose of it. Thwarted at every turn by young lovers, Mothers with kids, and baby ducks, he laments:
“Some days you just can’t get rid of a bomb!” A real-life allegory there.
RIP Adam
Holy time-waits-for-no-man, Batman!
I will have a Bat-Margarita tonight in his honor.
Recall him in an episode of Big Valley: “I always thought you were pure”, to Audra.
Mr. West can teach St. Peter the Batusi.
Godspeed.
Oh man. Didn’t realize he was that old, but still, life without my Batman.
Riddler: What is the beginning of eternity, the end of time and space, the beginning of every end and the end of every race?
“Holy, death, Batman...,” Robin said. RIP Adam...
So long Batman. As another of my childhood TV icons pass away....
There’s only Burt Ward (Robin) and a few major villains left from the Batman TV show: Julie Newmar (Catwoman), John Astin (The Riddler - he replaced Frank Gorshin for two episodes), Jill St. John (”Molly” - the Riddler’s accomplice in the 1st two episodes), Barbara Rush (Nora Clavicle), and Glynis Johns (Lady Penelope Peasoup.)
The hateful Left is attacking him for his support of Trump. West tweeted an amazing pro Trump tweet early on. What an American. God Rest Mr. West, thank you.
