Do you always embarrass yourself this early in the morning?

Lesson:

Insult muslims and they will respect you. Bow to them and.. well, just ask Barack Hussein.

That she’s wearing the pants and the Saudis ain’t is highly symbolic.

It is 104 degree in Riyadh right now. They are used to that weather. It often goes over 110 degrees in daytime and at night, it can still stay in the 80s. That is a warm climate. I used to live in the Mojave Desert at 29 Palms. That too was a hot place. But the nights often got cool. I'd wake up and see my breath sometimes. One morning, we actually had a light coating of snow on the ground. But it melted by breakfast.

The view from 29 Palms is majestic. I used to look across the desert and see Big Bear mountain that was 50 miles away. But it looked so close. So close that I could walk there. But I couldn't - at least not in one day. And I was in the best shape of my life. I could walk for hours and hours in desert heat without stopping. Once I almost died out there because I didn't bring enough water with me. I made it into town just barely and I drank a lot of fluid.

Been through 29 Palms a long time ago with my older brother when he had to report to Camp Pendleton. yeh, it was hot. You want unbearable heat? Try the Northeast here. Jersey for instance. This week we had two days of 90 degree weather with high humidity and it hit that before noon. It’s cooled down for now but for the next five months this is what it will be. And hotter and more humid. A couple of days or more of this kind of weather and you’re ready to kill somebody or just go crazy.

I’ve lived in the desert most of my life. High desert in the north and the Mojave in the south. I prefer the heat. It can get to 110-115 in the day time, and some nights don’t even cool off to the low 90’s.

My ex- was stationed at YPG for TDY one year, but I was already used to the heat when we moved. He wasn’t. He collapsed at work.

I’d like to see Saudi Arabia. My late husband said it was beautiful and varied. :o]

I was stationed in Camp Pendleton too. Another nice place. But 29 Palms was my favorite because by nature I'm a loner and I loved the solitude. There were places I could hike to where I was the only human for miles and miles around.

While in 29 Palms, I always volunteered for the desert exercises, like Gallant Eagle. I would go to places like Niland, El Centro and Yuma.

Just think: We came *this* close to seeing this waddle off the plane in Saudi Arabia....

Instead we got this, thank God. No more humiliation of the USA by Bowing Barry Hussein or Hitlery.

Indeed. In fact, this article begins with the following observation that I neglected to post.

President Trump's spectacular reception in Riyadh is a signal to the world (and to Saudi subjects, in particular) that big changes are coming. Elderly and frail King Salman ventured out onto the apron in 110-degree heat and actually shook Melania Trump's hand as she deplaned Air Force One, thereby touching a female infidel.

All of this was telecast live around the Middle East. Simply amazing and, dare I say, earth shattering by comparison to the behavior of any other American president. Trump demands and receives respect.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this a MAJOR sign of respect by the Saudis? I heard Muslims do not shake hands with women, especially one that is not wearing a Hijab.

Complete reversal of roles from Obama bowing to the Saudi king. Who's an obsequious toady now?

Or how about the comment B. Hussein made last week about Trump? Calling him a “bullsh*tter”. Mr. “If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor” calling someone else a BS’er.

I have shaken hands with a few Saudi males. But mostly they are very wary. If you love on their children, then you move up on the totem pole, I guess. I have been hugged by a Saudi grandma and mom.

Make that coffee stronger, so as to counteract the binge effects of last night. Posting clear headed thoughts is more respectful to the owners of this site and the fine folks who frequent it.
