That was my rule when I was single, as well. Meeting for coffee first usually seemed like a better idea. A lot of dumb women out there these days.
Meeting for coffee is still a great first or a casual dinner. I will meet at the restaurant of my choice and even though I’m a grown woman, I will usually let my best friend know who I am meeting and were we are going. My friends know that I’m not going to go home with a stranger.
