Married to a Russian immigrant, spending a lot of time with Russian expats, and watching a lot of Russian TV, I've come to the conclusion that the Russians are just like we are. They like the same movies, music, wear the same clothes, enjoy the same pastimes. They want to raise good children who work hard and value education and family. They're proud of their culture, of their accomplishments, and of their Christian religion.

I've never understood this manufactured animosity towards Russia that we are currently being forced to swallow. Communism ended nearly 30 years ago. Russians today are good people. Given the choice between having a Somali, Yemeni, Iraqi, Syrian or Russian move next door, I'll take the Russian neighbors any day.
