Healthcare Inseparable From Personal Responsibility

America will always have a safety net for the genuinely needy--unless we bankrupt the nation catering to those who embrace personal irresponsibility

Nothing about America’s ever-expanding welfare state has been more egregious than its unflinching cultivation of personal irresponsibility. From able-bodied people getting welfare or disability payments, to single women having illegitimate children, much of what we used to consider unacceptable or immoral behavior has been de-stigmatized.

Our shame-free society must be kept in mind during the GOP’s effort to repeal and replace ObamaCare. That’s because the Left’s greatest weapon—one also embraced by several weak-kneed Republicans—is the idea that if whatever emerges in ObamaCare’s place leaves even one less person without healthcare insurance, America becomes a nation of heartless Cossacks willing to let people “die in the streets.”

"America will always have a safety net"

Should reconsider that. Let charity do it, not government.

I think it was reasonable for gov to get into the charity business during the great depression, since charity dried up.

However, when the depression was over, the gov never got out of that business. Now only bigger and more programs to boot.

Consider 2016 spending where, of a 3.6T budget, 2.3T spent on social programs.

Had the gov not been spending that money, we could've actually afforded something like Iraq/Afghanistan.

Now, since we're handing out candy left and right, we can't afford to do what a gov should do when we need it.

The ‘safety net’ is the EXISTING billions that US taxpayers have had stolen from them over the past several decades. Here’s how it works:

•Undocumented’s and other career freeloaders use the ER as their family doctor.
In many cases, gov’t. assistance is ALREADY available to them . They are either TOO lazy or TOO stupid to apply for it.

Consequently … the hospital can’t collect on the charges so the accounts go over to collection agencies… who DO make application for fed assistance to pay for med attention that was given to these losers. Of course the hospital gets only pennies on the dollar in payment for the delinquent charges.

So:

• Taxpayers pay a premium for their OWN health plans (increasing all the time)
• Taxpayers pay a deductible on their policies, when they make a claim
• Taxpayers pay for ‘office visits’ up front every time they see a doctor
• Taxpayers are continually stiffed by the fed with more and higher taxes, so losers who won’t work and other career freeloaders can have FREE health care
• Hospitals make up their loss on delinquent accounts, by padding the bill for all patients who DO have insurance…..

Mr. Taxpayer just paid F I V E times, and doctor has not touched him yet!!!!!

AND...we still have these f’n Liberal morons running for office by promising their supporters to wring MORE money out of American taxpayers… who are those greedy, rich and uncaring Conservatives!!
