On Wednesday, women from across the United States and beyond will participate in a historic strike, protesting on behalf of all the marginalized groups currently threatened by the Trump administration. The strike offers a unique opportunity for women-identified people to potentially disrupt the flow of capitalism, if only for a day, and share a powerful message of dissent.
It'll also allow strikers to send delightfully righteous messages to their coworkers that they'll have no choice but to accept. If you're planning to take the day off on Wednesday, here's a list of out-of-office replies you can send to everyone on staff, letting them know just how historic this moment is and/or just how clever you are....

I’m still trying to figure out how this is historic. A bunch of women protesting what? They have more rights than any other women in the world and more rights than men in the US. They are seriously out of their minds.

I remember when AOL membership was packaged with new Win 95 & maybe Win 98 computers, along with a rash of other garbage. I think even Rush accepted their advertising back then.
They had absolutely nothing to offer that our local internet provider did for a fraction of AOL costs.
if the office remains open, folks at their desks have to carry the load, just a second, maybe management will find the absent women aren’t really needed.....

What % of non-profit workers will be off?
What % of for-profit employees will be off?
What % of for-profit owners will be off?
Answers.
non-profit workers will be paid to organize the events and hence, they will not be off.
Government workers who take off will prove that they are non-essential and should be told no need to come back.
For-profit owners won’t even think about it.

Gotta give my wife some props here. She’s a pre-school teacher, and got a message from her director says that she’d “understand” if some of the teachers struck tomorrow, as long as they let her know.
My wife’s response: “What is this $h!+ ??”
