As controversy rises around deportations underway across the U.S., a new report says Palantir, the secretive Palo Alto security firm co-founded by Peter Thiel, has built “the engine for Donald Trump’s deportation machine.”
Trump has brought in new policies directing authorities to ramp up arrests and deportation of people in the U.S. illegally.
And Palantir, valued at $20 billion, is key to that effort, according to a report published March 2. The company did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
In 2014, Palantir won a $41 million contract to build and maintain an intelligence system called Investigative Case Management for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to government records unearthed by The Intercept. ICE carries out the arrests that lead to deportation of undocumented immigrants. The Palantir case-management system is up and running, scheduled to operate at full capacity by September, The Intercept reported....

Basically it’s automated license plate reading.
A database uses all the photo/time logs of where your vehicle has been spotted by recog. equipped vehicles or stationary cams, then they can extrapolate where you’ll be at any time, based on your history.
In Calif the records would be VERY robust, esp in SF and LA.
They even whored the system out to private vendors, who’d send a vehicle round the large mall parking lots, etc.
A similar system is used by repo guys.
This one is much more robust, however.
Palantir has HUGE contracts with FBI, DHS, etc. etc, many I’m sure we’re not even aware of.

Whenever you read euphemisms like that, you know you’re being lied to.
There were even plans by some US cities to equip their GARBAGE TRUCKS with Palantir-associated cameras.

Besides, those ‘undocumented’ folks actually have plenty of documentation — It’s all fraudulent but it is ‘documents’.

A Citizen caught having fraudulent documents would be in big big trouble. Just one more example of how citizens are not equal to the undocumented.
I can only hope that Trump is building his own intelligence agency I hope they can do this in record time he DEFINATELY needs this!!! I Trust NO ONE in this DAMNED government!!!!
