This may embarrass some Democrats and certainly put the finger on them a while.

The GOP takes the original Constitution and has it transcribed as a piece of art, complete with the amendment lists and bill of rights and on the same type of paper the original was written on.

Arrange a ceremony in Washington DC at the House, and invite all the Senators and Congressmen from each state to come and sign it as a re-affirmation and commitment to follow the Constitution and the Laws of the United States during a joint session of Congress.

The progressives heads will burst.

Exactly. They already all take an oath to the Constitution as they are 'sworn' into office. Give the Dims more than about a paragraph of words, and they'll pick and choose and rearrange until it says what they want.

And the Supreme Court leads the charge.

It's all very logical, you see. The purpose of the Constitution is to establish limits on the federal government. Since no one in DC wants that, they gleefully conspire to suck all the meaning out of the words.

Except for the ones that suit their purpose - mostly those that actually do grant power to the federal government.

They would probably refuse to sign and respond by saying that the original Constitution counted slaves as 3/5 of a person. The media would then call it a big win for the Democrats.

The KKK was formed by the Democrats to stop freed slaves from voting for Republicans during Reconstruction. Gun control laws were adopted by Democrats to stop freed slaves from defending themselves from the KKK wing of the Democrat party.

Would we be expecting a great resurgence of Federalism? Least I can presume the DEMs would be more adverse; the REPs on the other hand, merely lip service to score political points.

5-min. after the whole stinking lot would be whisking through another extra-constitutional, anti-Liberty bill that benefits their pockets/donors/re-election run.
