“Their plan is basically to have everybody thrown out of the country without ever going to court.”

Greggy your lil ol illegal aliens buddies didn’t think it necessary to check with our government before they came into our country...

why on Earth would we upset them by having them stop by a government institution before they leave ???

Theyre not comfortable with involving the American authorities in their lives...

Just let them go home...

Its a win win all around...

What a tear jerker of a story! Do they weep over all the victims of crime and Americans on the lower end of the pay scale who have lost millions of jobs? No.

***Falsification of documents***

Otherwise known as identity theft or benefits fraud...which would get us jail time if we did it.

If they need detention facilities they can do tent cities on the border. If it’s good enough for our soldiers it’s good enough for border crossers. The bad guys need max security until they are transferred into the custody of their country of origin.

Why not? Obama bypassed the Constitution.

Can we just dump them two feet of the US border, and then it is Mexico’s problem to resettle.

Crucially, the guidance expands the use of a deportation procedure called expedited removal . . . limited to undocumented immigrants detained within 100 miles of the border who could not prove they had been in the country continuously for 14 days or more.

This is insane. Do they have a similar rule for bank robbers - if you get more than 100 miles away from the bank and keep the money for more than 14 days, you get to keep the money forever? Getting away with a crime for two weeks does not change the fact that you committed a crime. Illegals should be deported. All of them.

I like the expedited removal for those here under two years, and that should be a fixed date, not a sliding scale. Those who arrived after January 1, 2015 should be deported under expedited removal, regardless of when they are caught. When we run out of fresh illegals from 2015 to the present, the Class of 2014 and the Class of 2013 should be promoted to expedited removal. Then the Class of 2012 and the Class of 2011 . . .

The Courts have nothing to do with Immigration Policy, but that doesn’t stop them.

Mexico is already stressing about what they're go to do with all of these people being sent back across the border. I read they are considering "refugee camps" along the border.

Refugee camps for their own citizens? Trump is right to deport these criminal illegals from the US. Mexico is wrong in thinking it is unfair to them.

“A lot of this is designed to put up numbers — but in doing so, you diminish the impact on public safety.”

Say WHAT! For every illegal deported there is a 100% reduction in the crimes he will commit in the US.
Buy a clue will ya.

Ooh that won't look good. You are going to have even some Christian organizations calling foul, wrongly, but they will do so. And neocons. And the chamber of commerce.

“the roughly 740,000 individuals protected under the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.”

A huge number. Deport them last, if that is deemed most politically expedient, but deprt them nonetheless.

“the billions of dollars needed to build a network of immigrant detention centers along the southern border with Mexico”

Nonsense. Hire Sheriff Arpaio to set up and supervise the detention centers. He can do it faster and cheaper than anyone else.

Those extended stays in detention waiting to see a judge could then result in individuals who should should have been granted asylum giving up and accepting deportation. “Being detained is hard for these people,” the official said. “They aren’t criminals.”

Actually, (1) I am thrilled with anyone who gives up and goes home after entering our country illegally, and (2) they are criminals, so good riddance.
