I was sitting at home tonight when the door bell rang. I answered and Young dude introduces himself as representing the food and water organization. His claim? He claims that they are pressuring lawmakers to invest in infrastructure to replace lead pipes in urban areas. He wanted me to sign a petition and donate.
I examined the petition and losing led up the website to find this:
http://www.foodandwaterwatch.org
I kicked his false pretense liberal ass off of my porch. I think this organization could use a freeping.
Lobbying for taxpayer $$$$ and ‘union jobs’?
Example being the Flint Michigan water fiasco..........
Well hey, food and water is fairly important.
Sounds like he preys upon fear.
Glad you sent the hippy packing!
Name of urban area in which this occurred? Somewhere in CA?
Sounds like the motherloving hippie is trying to pick up where Elizabeth Warren was going, during the confirmation hearing of Ben Carson.
Total screwup by the local and fed govt. EPA! Flint changed it’s source of water to a source that was more acidic. Old lead pipes are usually completely covered inside by mineral deposits, so no lead is exposed. If the water becomes acidic, it eats away themineral deposits and exposes the lead to leaching. I replaced a few supply lines in the Cleveland area that were lead pipes. They looked like Marble inside! At the plant I operated for 30 years, we added Aqua-Mag, which coats everything. We had no lead pipes or lead solder in our system, but had a problem with Iron. If the state and fed epa had been competent, they would have added treatment to the new source water, and there would have been no problems!
We spent trillions on stimulus and shovel ready jobs and these things weren’t fixed. Can’t trust any Democrats TO fix it.
Food & Water Action Fund is a 501(c)4 organization.
Impressive /s
I am immediately suspicious of organizations with "watch" or "action" in the name.
BTW, they claim 501(c)3 status. Yet their website is as liberal as they come. Interesting.
I'm fully aware of that! My question was directed to Flip Wilson and where he is located..........
My response was not aimed at you. Sorry. It was just general info from a water professional. Incidently, if you have a well system with a shallow well and lots of Iron, I believe Aqua-Mag can be used in home systems. I never looked into it though.
Well, hey, I haven’t been able to afford the thin mints and peanut butter ones for awhile now.
I quit buying their cookies after I heard they supported Planned Parenthood.. I used to buy $40.00 worth of the Peanut butter cookies and froze them in the freezer lasted almost all year...
Figures. There’s hardly anything remaining, anymore, that the liberal left hasn’t tainted with their lies.
Lead pipes??? Really? Never seen them Have seen lots of copper and used to see lots of Galv. steel water pipe , but LEAD PIPES? Mostly they are PEX plastic now.
They worried so much about any lead in paints, how could they have missed lead pipes carrying water to peoples homes all these years? I call B.S.!
Tell them you only donate to the Human Fund.
I told his snowflake ass that his organization had about as much to do with safe drinking water as the sh-t in the sewage treatment plant. Threw him off my porch and accompanied him to every neighbors house telling them what his organization really supported. He beat a hasty retreat thereafter.
Apology accepted.........
As a side note, such a system you mentioned could have been used by my parents 50 years ago where I grew up in northern Michigan. We survived on well water and for the life of me, I can't remember drinking it let alone to stay healthy as they recommend today.........LOL!
That's how the Romans got away with it.
On the other hand, the brand new fresh-water distillery on the Franklin Expedition probably was REAL bad news.
Bet everyone couldn't get enough of that sweet-tasting water...
