North of the River Tweed, on the border with England, lies the hauntingly beautiful land of Scotland. And it's true, there is renewed interest in romanticized 18th century Scottish history due, as well, to the recent and successful cable production of Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series of books . . . .now an elaborate sci-fi/fantasy series on Starz cable television.

"Starz Outlander" is now filming it's third and fourth seasons of production. The series is an adaptation based on Diana Gabaldon’s first of several related novels "Outlander"

Executive Producer is Ronald D. Moore. The broadcast premiere was on August 9, 2014.

This cable series was honored with a Critics’ Choice Most Exciting New Series Award for 2014 on June 9, 2014.
