I just had the most exciting experience...
I was at my local Wal-Mart with my grandson, put the groceries in the car, and was getting ready to put the cart back, when a man named Bob and his wife Charlene came up to me and asked if anyone had prayed with me today...I said 'No, not today', so there we prayed for the Spirit of God to help over come my upset spirit and to nurture the Spirit of God into my grandson's life...and to Bless our Country, to continue to have God's Hand on PE Trump and the people around him...
It was like all of a sudden my fears of the last few days have been washed away...do I know this lovely couple, no never met them in my life, but for some reason God knows how worried I have been about PE Trump's safety and he sent this couple to pray with me...
Best experience you could have...
Your comment is idiotic. I think it is great that they ask to pray for these people. I like the idea, I hope to try it soon. I also will pray for you, I pray the Lord bless you and open you heart as well as your eyes. Good day.
I make NO assuptions. I asked a question. I don’t want government bothering me and I DO NOT want strangers in my business. Have a nice day.
1) Because the bible teaches use to go and teach the world (Matthew 28: 18-20)
2) We do tip them for their services
3) I am not LDS, I am a bible believing christian and try to live my life in accordance to Jesus’s teachings (see #1)
Great story. God Bless.
Just curious: How far does “East Tennessee” extend? Include Maryville, Knoxville and beyond? Or does it stop before that...
The wife and I have been considering TN for retirement....
HE speaks to us in so many ways and shows us we are not forgotten; HE CARES for us.
Wonderful story when you reminisce with your children/grandchildren. God bless that couple.
IMHO (and it strictly that), I would consider the western border of ‘East Tennessee’ to be Interstate 75. That’s a pretty good rule of thumb. We actually took a hard look at Maryville, but went with more rural back in the mountains further to the northeast.
Proverbs 8:15-15 "By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just; by me princes govern, and noblesall who rule on earth.
Psalm 75:7 but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.
Daniel 2:21 He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.
Romans 13:1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
First Timothy 2:1-2 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
I pray for our Lord to grant this incoming Adminstration with wisdom, love, understanding, patience and the strength and perserverance to trump all that wish evil in this world. This past year was filled with one obstacle after another. We seem to go two steps forward and three steps back. Witness this past election cycle AND the still continuing contentions, the assaults, the protests of those that desire a different election outcome. But that is how life is sometimes. Many of us are experiencing the same thing. When we come to this time of a new year and now a new Admi, istration, look back at all that has happened we still need to Praise the LORD.
JESUS came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. HE didnt promise we wouldnt suffer or that we would have prosperity. This Administration will have the socialists world against it. Trump/Pence will have to navigate the numerous 'traps' set for them. But our Lord promised that HE would be with us while we are going through those tough valleys and up those long mountains.
If you havent had an especially hard time this past year Bless and Praise HIS Name. Because we are the ones that can prayer for those of us, this incoming Administration under assault that have and are going through more difficult times.
The New Year 2017 Is:
A Time to Remember Those who have Touch Our Lives in so Many WaysA Time for Telling these same People that they are Cherished and Loved
A Time to Wish you Abundant Joy wrapped in GODS Wonderful Love
To Remember the reason John 3:16-18
For this is how GOD loved the World: HE Came so that no one would perish
And that if you believe you would have eternal life.
However, for those who refuse to believe they have condemn themselves.
We are to be the light to the World that through us they will see JESUS.
That they will see in us the Hope they need and will turn to JESUS before it is too late.
May HIS abundant Grace be Evident to YOU, this incoming Administration, and throughout the Donald Trump Administration.
"For God so loVed the world,
That He gAvemmm
His onLymm
BegottEnmm

mmmmmmm That whosever
Believeth In Himm
mmShould Not perish,
mmmm But have Everlasting life."
John 3:16
I will join you IF you clean out all the Poison Ivy.
“I dont want government bothering me and I DO NOT want strangers in my business. Have a nice day.”
That would be a perfectly suitable response if anyone ever had the audacity to ask you if there is anything they can pray for in your life.
By the way - you probably would still get a prayer (silent, but a prayer none-the-less).
Trump has been through so many trials in life that it's easy for him. When he was deep in debt and things looked grim for his business some decades ago, he saw a homeless guy on the streets of New York. But Trump laughed to his colleague, saying, "Look at this guy. He's a lucky man because he's $900 million richer than me."
Trump treats his Secret Service with respect and they sense his warrior spirit and honor as a man, so these brave men will take a bullet to protect him. So there's a silent prayer working, if you will, between the Secret Service and Trump.
The prayers of these people in the parking lot was a God send to you in your hour of despair. With that burst of optimism, it's time to put your biker helmet on, settle in the saddle, then ride the wind and break the waves of your fear.
Maybe pen one of those comments of yours from the gates of Deplorable Hell. Stir those FR animal spirits to TRiUMPh again, again, and again!
The Chinese have an expression:
Ride the Wind, and Break the Waves
And the calligraphy of that quote...
Your story brings tears. Thank you for sharing. I am so thankful for our new administration.
And God blessed Walmart by allowing them to hire an additional 10,000 employees this year.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Hopefully this act, and your sharing of it, will inspire others to do the same.
The Lord moves in mysterious ways.
My NH-born wife was hesitant to come because of SNAKES...we have been here on and off since 2000, and have seen precisely ONE snake, and that one was swimming in the river about twenty feet below a deck we were standing on. As for poison ivy, I’ve heard it’s around, but I rarely hear complaints, and have to see it. Allergies? That certainly is in issue if you come into contact with it.
Angels walk beside us.
What a wonderful experience, I needed to hear that.
We retired in E TN in 2010. It’s great!
I’d say that “East Tennessee” goes as far as Crossville if using I-40 as a reference point. More than geography, I feel it’s a mindset. We’re just west of Knoxville now (near where 40 and 75 meet), but lived in Roane County for a while. On occasion we go to Crossville. The conservative, Christian mindset seems to be similar or matching throughout that swath. Beyond Crossville, it seems to be different.
East Tennessee is typically thought of as being the mountains and immediate foothills. Knoxville’s stretching it.
