This is one of the better editorials I have read in a very long time.

Reading it now. Thanks for the ping.

Horowitz knows these people for what they are. Very clear writing here. Enjoyed reading his book Radical Son.

I have found David Horowitz to be both incisive and insightful of his analyses of liberalism.

His opinions on this are meaningful, as his experience as a full fledged leftist radical give him a profound understanding of both the mindset and the actions of the Leftists.

I have never been a liberal. When I was 9 or 10, I hated their activist actions in the 60’s and deeply resented their characterization of men like my father and friend’s fathers as “babykiller” types.

But I did not realize that the left embraced principles and tactics antithetical to American principles dating back into the 19th century. One can look at many of the tactics employed by liberals today, and see those identical practices used against McCarthy back in the 1950’s.

In reading works by David Horowitz, I feel that I understand liberalism in much the same way he does...and I have that same degree of matter-of-fact acceptance of what liberalism is.

In this respect, the fable of The Scorpion and The Frog parallels exactly how I feel about liberalism. Whenever they do something heinous, I am rarely outraged by it anymore. Instead, I accept it as one accepts the actions of the scorpion when reading the fable.

No matter how bad it is, I see it and think “Well. That is what they do.”

Horowitz rocks. He knows the left from the inside because he was one of them. He has them totally pegged.

I don’t know if anyone remembers but he did at least one Q&A session here on Free Republic. Took questions from freepers and answered them live in real time.

My favorite Horowitz book is Politics of Bad Faith which is a distillation of his autobiography Radical Son. It includes letters he exchanged with his leftist peers when he was leaving the left. It is some of the most illuminating, poignant stuff I have ever read. The book made such an impression on me that I have distinct visual memories of reading it fifteen years or so later. I can remember how the words looked on the page.

Be it treason what they are doing? The must have their day in court and go to prison. It has to happen. The Democrats and media bigwigs are trying to destroy our Republic. No mercy.

P.S. I PROMISE I could disperse their protests peacefully and they wouldn't want to come back again.

Bears repeating: "The secular totalitarians (Marxists) and the religious totalitarians (Mohammedans) have taken over a political party in the republic."

Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend.

We are infiltrated by millions of domestic enemies, the Communists and the Muslim Brotherhood.

The first order of the day on January 21 is to drain the swamp of the Communists and Muslims in positions of power in Washington D.C. They are working together to destroy our Constitutional Republic.

AFAIC, all senior people in the Beltway area need to have an updated formal Background Check. If they in any way radical socialists/communists/members of the Muslim Brotherhood or other radical Muslim groups, it's out the door and don't come back.

We truly are at war with these domestic enemies. Can there be any doubt now that they are working together? If we don't confront this now, the issue could deteriorate to a hot Civil War.

Obama mentioned organizing three times in his goodbye speech. Also, the biggest applause line in Obama's speech was his line about rejecting discrimination against Muslims. They indeed are working together.

The sooner people realize this is outright war for the survival of our Sacred Republic, the better our chances of survival.

It's not Left vs. Right, it's Tyranny vs. Liberty. Fight!

The fight is on and there will be no honeymoon.

I'm not going to feel safe until Trump is sworn in and sitting behind his desk in the White House - - working...

Thanks for the ping.

If every political issue and conflict is reduced to a conflict of races, genders and ethnic origins this inevitably leads to the demonization of the opposition as racist, sexist … deplorable.

Not just deplorable but intentionally so. In their eyes, we chose to be racist, sexist, etc. after they pointed out the errors in our thinking.

They are working together to destroy our Constitutional Republic.

ABSOLUTELY, Art.

Against all, foreign and DOMESTIC.

DEPOPULATE totalitarian subversives, liars, looters, criminals, conmen, collectivists, Clintons from the body politic.

HOORAY Mr. Donald J. Trump - hardworking citizen, LIFETIME achievement. Thank you, sir.

Judicial Watch has an article regarding Islamic Terrorists and Cartels teaming up and planning to hit targets during the inauguration time frame. This includes border excursions - from San Diego to Brownsville Texas per another article.

Gasoline Riots have already spilled over a couple of times last week.

Best to avoid the border this next week. Too bad we don’t have that great wall.

Horowitz's "Radical Son", is an excellent read for understanding the foundations of the modern Democrat Party.

Another quick read which is not to be missed is Tom Wolfe's "Radical Chic and Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers". It's a great pair of essays on the rise of politics viewed through a strictly racial lens, and how it is used to beat down opposition.

Oh, you have to read the Wolfe essays. They are priceless! Radical Chic shows how the glitterati became enamored of the Black Panthers. Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers describes exactly what “community organizers” do.
