I’m glad to see we won’t run out of burger flippers or prostitutes any time soon.
Like Reagan said, “It’s been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.”
So they should be well versed in the ways of prostitution.
ahahahahhahahhaahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahh....
(big breath in.. whoooooooooooOOOOOOOOO

nothing sweeter than poetic justice.
After Jan. 20th, Lady Justice hopes that Hillary and Obama operatives join their bosses, following trials, convictions and sentencing, in short-term employment as rope testers.
You want to be a photographer or a writer or a musician, whatever an artist, you want to be self-employed, if you want to start a business, you want to change jobs, you no longer are prohibited from doing that because you cant have access to health care, especially because you do not want to put your family at risk - Pelosi
I guess that would be justice served. Maybe do the rope testing in different parts of the country,so everybody could get a good look at the rewards of treason.
But...but...but...the Obama economy is booming, he created jobs, those illegals aren’t taking jobs from Americans. Is it white privilege, minimum wage? Oh wait- I know- you’re being Trumped!! ROFL Poor politically correct snowflakes. Get on welfare-you already have the fancy cars and SUV’s- load’em up like your favorite peeps do! Or... relocate to a Muslim paradise of your choice!
Winning is when there are jobs, jobs, jobs. Unemployment is about the most depressing thing in life — it’s a fate worth than death.
Dang..and I’m fresh out of crying towels. Been quite run on them lately. ..
And each of those $350K homes represents Waste, Fraud and Abuse.
All the middlemen in industry are being squeezed by internet efficiency, software, you name it.
It's now time to see government take a dose of the same medicine. Other than military, I'm sure the Federal government budget by 60% without losing essential services.
Remember, our Federal government hires more workers than Walmart. And unlike Walmart, a lot of those jobs are high end positions with big salaries and benefits.
Time for DC to start living frugally like everyone else in flyover country.
Easy 60%.
The home price is what the market bears. The average government job pays 195% what the same job pays in private sector.
My son works as a college intern for a contractor of a government agency. It’s in the aerospace engineering field so I expect it to be high, but you wouldn’t believe his pay and benefits. Yes, benefits for an internship. I can’t complain, one of them is educational assistance so much of his college is paid by his employer.
The gravy train is pulling into the station for the last time.
That and leaving the final results of the rope testing in place, so that people could parade by for a look... as the recycling process of nature slowly took its course.
Made me jealous, selling my house was like getting a year-long root canal.
I saw his house. Nice suburban home, but certainly nothing to get excited about. Benefit of living in a red-hot market, I guess.
I put my house in Michigan on the market just before I left to move to MD. 8 months later, it sold and the family moved here.
My wife took the paperwork to the County Clerk who said something about this being the first house in the county to sell in months. All the rest foreclosed.
Entire neighborhoods foreclosed. It became a joke rather than a sign of personal failure.
I looked at foreclosed homes in MD. The few that existed were in horrible condition, not the result of good people losing their jobs.
The recession barely touched this place. The same goes for northern Virginia. It’s even worse there. You actually see signs for new housing developments “starting in the low 6 figures.”
Llllllots of gov't money floating around in that neck of the woods. Hopefully, the new administration will dry up some of the graft and corruption. It's had since the late 80s-early 90s to get thoroughly entrenched, though. Will be about like trying to empty the Atlantic Ocean with a bucket.
I figure that if Trump - really, his appointees - just hold people accountable for doing their jobs, many of the grifters will simply move on to somewhere with easier pickins'. Academia, likely, at least for the moment.
Much like the problem with illegals, you don't need to fire millions of gov't workers. You just need to create a situation where they don't want to stay.
You’re exactly right. Cancel their pet projects, make them actually work and account for their time and expenses. Making government work less lucrative is a good start. self deportation.
I consulted in academia for about 5 minutes. It was valuable in that I learned many things. #1 was that "Success breeds expectations. Never be successful, and no one will ever expect it from you." I worked with academics who'd had their jobs for 30 years, and - honestly and literally - could not explain what their jobs were. But, they'd drawn a substantial salary and fantastic benefits from the school, for an entire career.
From what little I've seen, Gov't breeds the same type of worker.
Absolutely it does. The guys I mentioned in an earlier post all work for military research facilities. Serious work for serious people. I don’t really include them in my metric of dumping government drones. Engineers and Science PhD’s are generally good at what they do.
One friend told me that someone who he worked with checked off several of the affirmative action boxes. He said he never saw her really work on anything. ever.
He also confirms some of the financial budgeting nonsense. A month or so before the budget year ends, they look at what’s left and spend it, often needlessly because if they don’t spend it, they get that amount less next year. So if they have a 10 million dollar budget and spend 8.5 million, next year, they get an 8.5 million budget even if they actually need ten million.
So, they go buy stuff. Computers, vehicles, furniture, office supplies, etc.
That stuff has to stop. A department should be praised for saving money.
I have a buddy who was an army Contracting officer for a short time in his career. For one project, he was authorized to spend $3 million. He actually spent just under $2mm. That’s just the way he is. He’s frugal and not wasteful.
Gird your loins!
Get a good night's sleep, make a large pot of coffee, and don't forget to pack a lunch.
Gonna be a lot of winning going on heah!
:-)
