Mike Rowe might be able to find something for them pumping septic tanks:

I’m sure they’ll find jobs as reporters.

I’m sure all the government workers got huge severance packages and probably pensions for life, they have nothing to complain about.

No worries. These people will just blame Trump while collecting welfare checks.

I so well remember all the stories about members of the Bush administration who had trouble finding work in Washington once the Obama people came in.

Oh, wait a minute. I don’t remember them. Because THERE WEREN’T ANY.

I love the post you made! LOL - no wonder they are so distraught - they were told constantly the fake news that she was an absolute bet

I find it disturbing that any of these staffers could have thought it was forever simply because it had been all Dems for the last eight years, but then it isn't just the Hillary people.

The job market is about to get even more crowded for Washington Democrats, as thousands of Obama appointees join the hundreds of Clinton campaign staffers looking for employment.

That it is, and not just for them:

There are also the lobbying firms, trade associations and corporate government affairs offices that are pitching senior Obama aides’ resumes into the round file while scrambling to hire operatives with Republican connections.

Yes, certainly, armies have camp followers, it's a bit of minor corruption that has blossomed into a quasi ruling class. And none of these people should have assumed that it was forever, and the experienced ones did not. But there's something a little more going on here as well, and it may account for the extra shrieking we are enduring in the media these days. There is an entire class of civil "servants" manning the various bloated government agencies whose jobs are nominally safe from changes in administration, and who usually take this sort of transition in stride. They freaked out when Reagan took office and they're freaking again, because those career jobs (and their concomitant federal retirements and benefits) are not safe from someone whose mandate is to slash the size of government. That didn't happen when Clinton gave way to Dubya or he, to 0bama. It's happening now.

There is a wonderful justice in the authors of 0bamacare now finding they are no longer exempt from the strictures, charges, and fines that the unwashed have been since its inception. There is also a wonderful irony in that they will be beneficiaries of Trump tossing the entire crumbling, lumbering behemoth into the dumpster. They'll owe him for saving them from their own vanity and stupidity but I don't expect to hear any thank-yous.

We were lectured by Pelosi on how its not so bad to be unemployed.

Why are ee not running that clip 24/7 now, for these obama folks? Do they not like their own propaganda?

Severance packages? Only if there's a reduction in force, authorized by Congress. DoD received approval to up their buy-out package from $25K to $40K, to cut civilian payroll by 20%. Over 1/3 of the federal workforce is over 55.

Pensions for life? Better than nothing, but the feds went to a 401K mix about 20 years ago. I'm not complaining, between that and SS, I'll have enough to pay my bills, and medical costs.

I wish upon them all the misery and despair that they can suffer. Anyone who was part of that monster's administration needs to repent for the rest of their lives.

Nearly half of all people employed in Maryland work for fed, state or
Local government. This sadly makes the state recession proof. It also assures high cost of living and through the roof housing costs. I was in Michigan last week and heard that the average sell price of a hunk me was $136000. I bought my whopping 1200 square foot “dream home” in MD seven years ago for $170,000.

You can’t touch a nicer home here from under $350K. Stinking townhouses are 250.

I work for a construction materials supplier and with some larger builders. They’re building so much that land availability is becoming an issue.
