A cross or Jewish star on the collar should be limited to chaplains.
As for Sikhs with turbans and beards, I realize that Sikhs have served the Royal Army with distinction, but there are practical matters in the combat zone. A beard would interfere with a gas mask in a chemical/biological warfare environment - What if the OPFOR decides to lob a few Sarin shells? Then there is the helmet, whether steel or Kevlar.
