Saturday Night Live skit. Funny stuff, you had to be there. Many moons ago.

Two possible meanings to the pool reference.

A. Refers to a group of MSM snipers who will try to ambush Trump at every opportunity.

B. Protective Pool, could refer to the puddle under Hillary when she learned Trump would be President and her protection failed.

>>what is a land shark?<<

If you have to ask, I guess you are too young to understand the answer. Or you didn’t watch TV in the 70s.

:)

Never but some jokes are based on it.

If someone were to do a Seinfeld or Friends based joke I would have no idea what they are talking about (except terms that entered the common language). I despised those shows.

The ‘Protective Pool’ protects the media from missing out on a big story. They are the reporters who are always close at hand, and will share with the reporters who are sleeping off their hangovers. If it’s a democrat, there is an understanding that they won’t report any misconduct they see. Trump doesn’t want them underfoot.

Ambrose Bierce couldn't have defined it better. Well done!

The media missing a future Dealey Plaza. I don’t recall them being so upset when Obama skips out without them.

Given the behavior of the MSM, it would be funny to suggest that they serve as a protective pool if it weren’t so potentially deadly.

Don’t know why but that still cracks me up. Maybe SNL was funny back when they weren’t trying to “make a statement” or educate the filthy peasants.

If they could be relied upon to form a human shield around the POTUS in the event of an attack, they might actually serve a purpose. Doesn’t seem likely, does it ?

Reporters, who share their dispatches with other members of the correspondents association, track even seemingly mundane details, from what the president wears or buys, to exactly when Air Force One lifts offs and lands.

We could do without a lot less of the press, i.e.; the nightly news, the morning news, the Sunday talk shows.

I can assure you from personal observation in NM, OK, & KS that the creature typically referred to as the pronghorn antelope is quite far from being “endangered”. All of those states have hunting seasons for the glorified and fleet cousin of the goat. BTW, true antelope are confined to the African continent per the website below that also notes that some pronghorn sub-species are endangered but not the wider population:
