The husband-and-wife team behind HGTV’s “Flip or Flop” have announced their separation six months after police were called to their California home over what the couple called an “unfortunate misunderstanding.”
Tarek and Christina El Moussa said in a statement that police were called out of “an abundance of caution.” They said there was no violence and no charges were filed.

I’m slightly concerned that he may have gotten addicted to the pain pills after his surgeries and cancer treatment. I, of course, do not know them so it’s mere speculation but I do know about addiction and how narcotics, taken legally and as prescribed, can get hold of a formerly normal and stable human being. It’s tragic and very hard for loved ones. I hope this isn’t the issue.

Shocked. He was the one who found out he had cancer from a nurse watching the show. They seemed so happy. I swear, cameras in your face = divorce.
She’s hot, but her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. :-(
I don’t watch much tv but saw 2 shows and they seemed mismatched or like something was out of sync with them so I never bothered to watch them when I did watch tv. feel bad for kids in these situations, parents put them thru more stress by doing reality shows.

Glad to hear that the quality was good as I find them insufferable. Very predictable in their renovations and taste. And stuff like this is what got us into trouble by 2008, inspiring people to do projects beyond their means. It would be good to see them actually lose money once in a while instead of showing the average audience nothing but gains.
Some people can’t hide it. Often her smiles look absolutely painful.
Actually they have shown a few flops on TV, like the ones in Downey and Buena Park. And anything under $40k net is a marginal flop in southern CA.
My question to my wife, who is a fan “is she pregnant?” During a series of shows every other word was “I’m pregnant.”
Yes, I thought about that as well but the first thing I thought was Christina has stars in her eyes. She’s young, beautiful, perfect body, great on camera and close to LA. I can guarantee she’s getting plenty of calls to expand. Hope they can work it out and if it is Tarak, he gets his anger/depression/whatever under control fast.

He appears on the show a lot, wearing flip flops. Guys at construction sites just should never wear flip flops. It looks gayish and unprofessional. No wonder he’s got back problems.
I often mention that to my wife. Hime with flip flops and her with open toe shoes.
I had to come back and make one more comment, after seeing an ad for their upcoming show.
They’re playing with their kids, pretend-opening packages, and dancing together — even a smooch thrown in.
Talk about fake reality!
