We ditched the satellite after it just kept going up every month and we really weren't watching it.

Then we got the Roku. I don't miss TV at all. We got Netflix, Hulu and subscribed to OAN. Honestly, I barely watch any of that either.

My daughter is a big Netflix watcher. My son (15) never, ever even got in the habit of TV. He doesn't even "get" that people ever did. He watches a bunch of people that cater to his interests on Youtube. Cars, motorcycles, stunts, humor, etc.

Our Direct TV satellite was notorious for that ...losing signal. In fact even our larger satellite dish lost signals as well.

Heavy rain, snow both contributed to our dissatisfaction with Direct TV. That and their increasing monthly rates even though so many of their offered channels were seldom watched.
