If I paint my AR15 woodgrain will it no longer be considered an assault rifle?

Put a bunch of >H, Hillary stickers on it
or
Paint some donkeys on it
or
engrave it with Debbie Washerwoman’s profile.

This should eliminate any qualification as an assualt rifle...

if ... it will still fire???

Personally I loathe that. I don’t believe it wise to make firearms resemble toys.

I know a guy that says he found an M-16 dismantled in a box of kids toys at a yard sale. Paid $5 for the pieces.
