I am pretty sure in 2008 and 2012 Michigan was awarded to 0 on election night and not weeks after. I suppose I could be wrong as I didn’t follow those elections closely but I am pretty sure there was no doubt raised ever that Michigan was in his column.
you could very well be right, and AP decided since President Trump was the winner this time to be a stickler for the official Michigan certification date to put off adding Michigan EVs to President Trump’s total.
