In case you are wondering why there is so much “Fake News” coming out of the Mainstream Media over the last few years: The (2012) National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) legalized the use of propaganda on the US public.

On January 2, 2013 Barack Obama signed and enacted into “law” HR 4310, also known as Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012, which was part of the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

As a matter of public policy all government output must be true. No false accusations, no self- aggrandizement. Propaganda on the citizenry from government should be a punishable offense.

It really ticks me off that I have to subsidize this govt. propaganda. I have friends who listen to this and see nothing wrong with it. I cannot listen for five minutes until I hear the obvious snarky bias, and turn it off. I may listen a little while today just to see if it has changed.

Fake news has been happening as long as news existed. Adams and Jefferson used it to attack each other and make themselves look good so it was big at the founding of our country.

But 2004 is when modern media accepted it as a a valid journalistic method. Dan Rather is the father of modern news where "fake" is valid.

Most of the media condemned Rather's technique while using his fake report as an excuse for publishing their own fake news. The NYT was more than happy to publish fake news attacking Bush and spent little time concerned with the fact that the US media was jumping on the fake news bandwagon.

The problem now isn't that we have fake news, it's that kids in Macedonia can compete with the NYT for views and the NYT cannot make as much money or control elections like they used to be able to.

Wasn’t it Obama who said just a few days ago ““If we are not serious about facts and what’s true and what’s not, if we can’t discriminate between serious arguments and propaganda, then we have problems”? It’s hard to believe he said that with a straight face. After all… he opened the door for the DNC and the Mainstream Media to use propaganda.
