They can run their mouths as much as they want now. Trump isn’t President yet.

Anybody know how much money these cities could potentially lose?

None of it.

Perfect. Immigration is a federal responsibility, so write a federal law that says that if an illegal immigrant, known to the local LE to be so, commits murder, the mayor and chief of police shall be held to be conspirators.

The person who takes part in a robbery that turns to murder is charged with murder, even if they didn’t have a gun.

My emotions tell me to cut these cities off cold, but it is bad battle strategy.

It creates a massive crisis and hardship that transcends the problem, i.e. sanctuary city. No one can get an excited constituency over not funding some bridge in Tribeca, or not paying for booklets printed to explain landlord tenant law, or buying cameras for underground sewer crews, etc.

But, when a few dozen of these federal subsidies are aggregated and the NYC budget goes upside down and services are being cut, he will get their attention.

Remember, all politics is local. No point in forcing this to be a national debate. Make them own their bad decisions.

Defiance eh? I guess it’s time to play the Chicago way as explained by Sean Connery in The Untouchables!

He probably needs to start with an example city and see how it goes. If they fold and start to cooperate the other cities will get the word and also start falling in line.

>I hope Trump also ends birthright citizenship.

A faithful reading of the 14th A.?? Please! That’d open a whole can of worms (which I’d pay good $$ to watch).

DEM: Well, XYZ isn’t authorized specifically in the Constitution
REP\DT: Well, damn. You’re correct. That’s gone too...
DEM: .....

Yea, that might be right. I think Denver would be a good first choice. Its a blue city but they like their lifestyle out there and I don’t know how happy they would be with the FAA refuses to make staff increases at teir airport or the snow on Interstate does not get plowed.

I grew up in the Chicago suburbs (mostly all conservative) but from my teen-hood on I took the 10-cent El ride to the city to partake of the amazing culture, i.e., the museums, the outdoor symphonic concerts, the ethnic lake-front fairs, the breathtaking Air Shows, the restaurants, the opera, the ballet, the hole-in-the-wall jazz bars, Marshall Field's, the July 4th fireworks over the lake, the restaurants, shopping the Magnificent Mile, the delights of Old Town, da Cubs, da Sox, da Bears...and more.

That is a lot of my memories of Chicago as well...except when I arrived at age 22 in Chicago, the EL fares were already at 25cents, and white castle burgers were 10cents!

They ALL ‘mention’ it; especially when it benefits themselves (CYA)....

DT has won the WH. I’m not going to throw right in w/ the ‘2nd coming’ crowd. Unlike others here, I’ll trust but verify before dropping the guard, but give TU where due (and, sorry, Rinse is a *BAD* choice. We rallied against the GOPe. You don’t put ‘em at the head of the table).
