Congratulations, GOP. After 25 years of failure and betrayal your base is ‘ready for a revolution’

The inevitable outcome of your decisions

People are fed up. They’re angry. They’re furious. ...And you can thank the GOP for it.

I’ve been arguing - for well over a decade now - that the party had long abandoned its constitutionalist roots. The base demanded strict-constructionists but, for a variety of reasons, it was force-fed a cadre of candidates that were about as far from that ideal as a Republican can get.

I’ve told many of my conservative friends that if GOP Inc had given us anything to hang our hats on over the last 30 years, the wouldn’t have a “Trump Problem.”

Actually you could see the screwing back in 64 when the Scranton/Rockerfeller GOPe abandonned Goldwater

First, the GOP must die.

Everything else comes after that.

What we have had is the Tory-ization of the Republican Party. That is what the GOPe is all about. It will always be thi\us, even if we elect Trump and he has a restorational administration. The gopes will remain gopes and will constantly press for return to the comfortable second class status as the very Loyal Opposition (loyal to the ruling class) acting as a faux opposition to the perceived Rightful Ruling Democrat Party, even when a Republican is in the White House.

That will all end if the Democrats win this one. That would make this one the last one and the Loyal oppogopes will provide the first stars and supporting players in the inevitable Show Trials.

I’m ready to switch parties away from the GOP after the election. I’m fed up. I stopped donating to the GOP years ago after Obama got elected, after seeing the GOPe snatch defeat from victory time and time again, and their capitulating to the Democrat minority. Screw them. I just hope that a huge group of members of the Republican party can break away and create a new real conservative party for me to join.

<>. . . but it is past time for our version of the UKIP to form.<>

It has. As component member of the republic, our states constitute a natural, independent second party.

I like that one too.

I’ve posted it occasionally.

Really? When Bush was riding high he was very popular and wasn't much of a "strict constructionist."

It's easy to claim that you really want or "demand" something, when you always settle for something else -- and sometimes do more than settle for it.

It's harder to be honest about what Republicans and conservatives have chosen over the years and about what the country really wants.

I’d like to get a T-Shirt with any of those. Do you know of a vendor?

From what I can see on some made-to-order sites, they have a minimum of 25.

zazzle.com seems to have a minimum order of “1”.

Try this:

Thanks. Worked out fine. I used the George Washington photo - $24 including postage. After I paid, I found out they had a 15% off promo code. Oh well. :-)
