War Drums with Russia & the Post-Obama Middle East
USA Transnational Report ^ | October 8, 2016 | USA Transnational Report

Posted on 10/08/2016 2:31:28 PM PDT by Randall_S

War with Russia? So suggests John McCain, in so many words. In advocating for decisive action in Syria, the Senator insinuates he is OK with a head-on collision with Russia. And the media report this ‘threat’ as though it might actually spark a nuclear war. While the situation is tense and even volatile, could it really spark a nuclear war? Unlikely.

Along the southeast coast, a hurricane threatens destruction. Like Sandy in 2012, it overshadows a looming election – at least for a few days in the news cycle. It’s obvious, with the Doomsday reporting of nuclear war and natural disasters, that the media do not want us focused on the choice we have ahead.

For example, our next president will be faced with challenges of a world that has inverted against America. Throughout the Middle East, the USA’s former allies are all turning toward Russia. Who’s to say that Europe isn’t next? We’ll give you our analysis on this and more topics…

Russia decries 'new Cold War' as East-West tensions cloud talks

AFP, by Frank Zeller, Eric Randolph
February 13, 2016

"...a panel of eastern European leaders lined up to add their own accusations of Russian aggression.

"Every single day, Russian troops, Russian weapons, Russian ammunition penetrate into my country," said Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko.

He addressed Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was not present, saying:

"Mr Putin, this is not a civil war in Ukraine, this is your aggression. This is not a civil war in Crimea, this is your soldiers who occupied my country."

Donald Trump: 'Putin has eaten Obama's lunch' on Ukraine

Mar 13, 2014
Eun Kyung Kim: TODAY

Donald Trump slammed President Obama Thursday on TODAY for failing to take a stronger line against President Vladimir Putin in dealing with Ukraine, saying he feared Obama would now make up for lost time with imprudent moves to "show his manhood."

The real estate mogul and reality-TV star, who has criticized Putin for sending military troops into Crimea, said Obama must now take fierce steps to prevent the situation from escalating further.

"We should definitely do sanctions and we have to show some strengths. I mean, Putin has eaten Obama's lunch, therefore our lunch, for a long period of time," Trump said. ..."

Yushchenko, hero of Ukraine's Orange Revolution warns Europe that Putin won't stop at Crimea

by Matthew Schofield - McClatchy Foreign Staff
March 27, 2014

Many Ukrainians believe you need look no further than the face of Viktor Yushchenko to understand Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

Once smooth and ruggedly handsome, it still bears the scars from an assassination attempt when someone slipped dioxin into Yushchenko's food. ..."

No, not you. Others. I know you knew all along the truth about the Russians.

RT tweeted that when McCain said whatever he said, he tore off a rooster’s head and drank the blood from its neck. Polls show that 90% of the Russian public believed RT.

Well I know enough to see the nation as it is and not as the media and this administration wants us to see it. They’re such liars when it comes to International and Foreign Affairs...especially where there’s conflicts they all to often are responsible, at least in part if not all, in too many places in the world.

It use to be our news agencies were at least somewhat trustworthy......today they’re simply the mouth pieces of Politicians and Agenda’s to push regardless of the facts. They blow up everything and anything to drive their agenda’s.

And that’s the simplicity of Russian logic: we can’t trust the media, therefore we must trust the media.

Not going to war against the Russians is a very far cry from “favoring the Kremlin line.” If you can’t understand that very simple concept, then you are beyond hope.

FYI, I really don’t care much for the Russians. My paternal grandfather had to leave there at the end of the Communist revolution, or get shot. He had to leave behind everyone and everything that he knew, except for one much older brother who had come to the United States several years earlier. His father had everything taken from him by the Communists except the house that they lived in. He never saw his parents and several of his siblings again. Those of his family members who could not get out lived a miserable life, always wondering whether Lenin’s or Stalin’s goons would come to take them away. So I have no great warm feeling for those people.

However, I do not let my feelings against them cloud my better judgement. Going to war is a serious business, people lose their lives and others are maimed for life. Many are emotionally scarred for life . Others “merely” lose everything material that they ever had. Casualties on both sides in even a relatively small war can rapidly escalate into the hundreds of thousands. That’s a small war. A large war easily moves that into the millions, and that is before you involve the two largest nuclear powers on the planet. You are simply insane if you think that a war with Russia would in ANY way be a good thing. Either start taking your meds, or go to a psychiatrist and get some prescribed.

Actually, what I meant by “favoring the Kremlin line,” is the tendency by our FR Borscht Brigade to find John McCain under their beds. I’m not afraid of him, they are. And speaking of psychiatrists, I’m sure one could help you with your fear of being surrounded by people who want to go to war with aRiseia.
