Their distaste for Donald Trump was no secret. But they saw no point in publicizing it. From Miami to Houston, Crawford to Kennebunkport, members of the Republican Party’s first family remained quiet for months, avoiding cameras and questions about presidential politics and focusing their few fundraiser appearances on assisting the GOP candidates who would be forced to share the November ballot with a nominee they detest.

The Bushes are evidently turning on their own party just because we won’t elect a THIRD Bush for president.
The Tea Party was right all along about the GOP establishment. You cannot trust them.

This is an absolutely perfect, although inadvertent, description of how the Bushes have their collective heads so far up their asses that one can see their ears wiggle when the open their mouths. Trump has smashed that attitude and given the Republican a new chance to live by doing it. GO, DONALD, GO!!!
If they Bushes come out for Clinton, or against Trump, one step further in the next 6 weeks - I guarantee they are signing their own political death warrant.
They will NEVER escape the “traitor” label.
I for one say let's extradite W. to the International Criminal Court and let them sentence him for the war crimes they convicted him of in absentia. Really want to be pricks to the American people Bushes? I say it is time the American people return the favor.
The funny thing is the press thinks we should care after they spend 12 years demonizing the last President Bush with nonstop propaganda and lies.
The Bushes should proceed with caution or Walker Point will soon be a Trump property.

look like he was still able to even screw in a light bulb;

(Now, if George W endorsed Hillary, it might swing a few luke-warm repubbies (conservative admirers of Bush) away from voting for Trump, but George W. Bush is so hated by so many democrats (and the socialists/Bernie-supporters and voters and donors and workers and enviro's outside of Washington and the ABCNNBCBS press corpse) that the final result is a LOSS of potential Hillary voters in the general election.
Not getting the “next generation” voted out of office, but to maneuver to selection process so somehow, the scions of the family do not even get picked. Shunt them into foundations, and reward them with seats on boards somewhere, even appointment to some high-sounding but innocuous office with little effective authority, but never to elective office.
We do not need Bourbons in office or positions of authority (check the pre-revolutionary history of France).
His foil? Does anyone except the Bushes and some stupid Democrats care who they are voting for?
Once again, this is why when Trump becomes POTUS, he needs to carry out a major purge in the Republican party of these individuals who are neither patriotic nor loyal to America, who think their only constituents who matter are multinational corporations, and far too often align with socialist Democrats instead of conservatives.
Until they are out of the party entirely, and as many as possible out of elective office, they will do everything in their power to weaken and subvert his presidency. Leading in this effort will be their endless push for larger and more intrusive government, and never ending internationalism at the expense of US sovereignty.
So until they are gone, they will fight him every inch of the way in ending the terrible abuses of the past.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
