Eating the heart of your kill is old tradition in New Zealand

Of course they didn't always have deer available. If fact there was originally only one species of mammal there.

Dear oztrich,

Then that little girl, in her actions, has partaken of an action done by both of our ‘grandfathers’, your’s in New Zealand, and mine, in the Mojave Desert.

At least one thing going for you ... somebody got the idea to bring more species your way! (Oh Mom, not ‘x’, AGAIN?!?)

‘many moons blessum you’

That’s true. I’m trying to remind people of ‘Old School’ America — people used to get defensive when anyone seemed to criticize a neighbor’s parenting.

Granted — they had gone overboard. We needed to end the cycle of child abuse and in some cases — neglect that leads to starvation and malnutrition.

But one reason for today’s cultural rot is too much meddling with the ‘nuclear family’.

It’s bad enough to lose a child and know you’re to blame. But then to be punished by the government on top? SICK.
