The continuing and non-existent collapse of Donald Trump

"Don't get cocky." That's the problem with lying to your opponents: Sometimes, you fall for your own lie

[Continuing our series on deception and misdirection in politics and public policy.]

Donald Trump’s continuing decline in the polls is a clear indicator that the GOP is facing disaster—that Trump will lose cataclysmically in November, perhaps becoming the first candidate to win a negative number of electoral votes, and that every other Republican on the ballot, from governors to U.S. Senators to Zika mosquito squashers, will perish in a landslide comparable to the Ruatoria debris avalanche off North Island, New Zealand, circa 170,000 B.C.

If that’s the case, they’d better get of their hind ends and campaign for DONALD TRUMP/MIKE PENCE.

ummmm. no.

current RCP numbers show hilary winning like 370 EVs. That’s a decisive victory...but not even remotely an existential landslide.

The purpose of the deceitful polls is not to portray reality but to sort of create a false reality that keeps Clinton close enough to justify the massive fraud they are planning with the vote totals. For them to get away with this she has to be close to Trump in the polls. Fake polls will thus enable fake results.

I think I have it! The numbers above show a two-way race between Clinton and Trump. But, in fact, the election in November will feature four main candidates, counting the Libertarian and Green nominees. Surely, if they are included in the calculation, we’ll see the continuing decline in Trump’s numbers that the media told us about.

Oh dear.

Two weeks ago, it was 43.9% Clinton, 36.3% Trump, for a Clinton lead of 7.6 points. Now Clinton’s lead has skyrocketed, all the way to Clinton 41.6%, Trump 37.3%, for a Clinton lead of 4.3 points.

That’s not great for Trump, but it’s about where Mitt Romney was at times in the 2012 race (8/12/12: Obama 47.7%, Romney 43%, for an Obama lead of 4.7 points; 9/30/12: Obama 48.7%, Romney 44.6%, for an Obama lead of 4.1 points).

Try as I might, I can’t remember Romney’s intra-party opponents, having lost the nomination, trying to defund the Romney campaign, disassociating themselves from Romney and denouncing him, and doing everything in their power to ensure that Romney lost in a landslide so that his movement would be destroyed. Where were the NeverRomneyers?

I believe every right thinking American should vote for Hillary. Besides being a tottering, crippled, corrupt, demonic, antigod, panderer to the ultra kooky left and the pervert agenda, she has a lot going for her. Her socialist policies will bring closer relations to successful countries like Venezuala. She will make those Christian bakers make cakes for homos and other deviates. She will appoint SCOTUS appointees that will not be encumbered by that old rag the U.S, constitution! So lets get this over with. Combined with the love coming out of northern Va. let’s elect Hillary and contribute to the Clinton Foundation and help all those poor souls in Kuwait and Bahrain!

Mostly because the MSM is trying to prop up Hillary, a candidate now increasingly burdened with the Clinton Foundation debacle and now increasing questions about her health.

I want someone to ask one of the media idiots how they would treat Trump if he was a corrupt criminal like Hillary? They would make it impossible for him to run. Nothing aggravates me more then an intelligent person who believes anything coming from the suck ass media.

Reading the entire article is like reading the entire software manual for a new program you just loaded onto your computer. Who does that?

Just starting commenting like you would hunting and pecking your way through that new application. You'll get the hang it it real soon.

Hillary is likely to win.

We have brain-dead morons in this country who will turn out in droves to elect her.

Has nothing to do with Trump as a candidate.

We’re a center-left country and the demographics are what they are.

People can argue with it until they’re blue in the face but his polling decline seems to bear out the picture.

As it stands now, Hillary will win.

If she does, it’s time to think of what Trump’s next move would be. A new Cable Channel, social media site, political brand, endorsing other candidates, fighting the SCOTUS picks etc.

In 2012, all we had was Sarah Palin who did an excellent job of helping ensure a Republican congress in 2010 and 2014.

But as it stands now, she wins. The independents are leaning left. Perhaps a bad debate on her part, but she will hide from the media as much as possible, unless she is assured they are friendly.

If Hillary does win, she will find herself presiding over the near total collapse of the US. She is no Lincoln. It won’t go nearly as well for her as it did for him.

Yes. That bad.

Trump may, or may not, be able to hold it together but it is going to be a rough four years no matter who wins.

That’s what I think.
