This will be my first and LAST vanity. I love this board and am so grateful to Jim for having created it. Although I do enjoy the conversations very much, i am here because I am a conservative, at least what conservative is supposed to mean, I think.
I wrote the following 19 years ago. What’s scary is that most of it is still relevant today.
I was ecstatic as i sat on the train and found that the NY Post had posted my editorial comment. I even yelled it out, which received strange glances!!
I’d like to share it with you. I would be glad to mail a copy to the boss to prove its authenticity.
It is Sowell-like in that it jumps from issue to issue rather than focusing on one.

I must make the following comments about the political goings on around me.
Does channel 13 ever show any non-liberal programming? Why am I being taxed for this propaganda?
Does anybody know or care how many young children are dying from blood related diseases other than AIDS? Are adults, gay or otherwise, so selfish that they’d rather find a cure for a disease that - minus casual/gay sex and drug use - can be avoided, than to find a cure for the many children who suffer from these other debilitating diseases?
Doe anyone realize that the military exists to defend the country from foreign countries and that killing the soldiers from the other countries is the way they do it? Let’s stop pushing ridiculous gender integration rules that undermine the lives and the morale of our soldiers
Why are people in public colleges when they can’t even pass remedial math and english courses?
So president Clinton wants to rid the country of it European heritage. Working hard, making progress, loving our country and pushing education are all part of our European heritage and they should not be pushed aside by our president.
Trying to understand criminals is stupid. Making them understand punishment is not.
I don't like hearing about douches or condoms on television. Once upon a time, men and women would have been uncomfortable watching these commercials.
How to succeed: Go to school during the day, work at night, and stop complaining.
I am not against legal immigration, just supporting them when they get here and immediately go on welfare.
Women have great qualities and strengths that no man could ever possess,so why would they want to become more like men?
Homosexuals should be allowed to live in peace without fear of discrimination but they should not be allowed to adopt. A deviant lifestyle should not be spread to children.
Oh, I get it, it’s ok to pass a law against not wearing seatbelts, against not separating bottles from paper, against not having the right number of certain groups in your job or school, against school prayer, but passing laws about burning our flag and protecting our children (the unborn) are not ok. Hmm.
I dislike paying taxes for single mothers’ offspring, for the arts, for people on welfare who don't feel like working and for public employees who don't do any work. I hate paying taxes on a used, used, used car.
Vietnam was not a futile war. The result of our withdrawal was the direct or indirect killing of millions of people. And how dare Americans spit at their own soldiers? I guess the losers that did this thought that the lives of our soldiers and of the millions of asian women and children killed at the hands of communists were expendable in order to push a noble cause like communism.
Finally, I’m a white male of European (Italian) descent. I’m proud of that. I love this country and the Flag and all of the men who fought and died for it and I’m proud to say it.

It’s amazing how most of those issues have just gotten worse.
Like I said, it seems many of the issues have worsened over 19 years.
Change out Clinton for Obama and it pretty much fits today.
They’re still at it, trying to undermine all that is good about America.
The Ministry of Propaganda has become far bolder. They don’t even bother with pretense anymore.

I don’t recall any writings during our World Wars where people parsed out reasons to hate or fight the NAZIs.
The current Democrat party has officially listed many of us as enemies of the state. That is why we fight. Because they declared a cultural war on us that won’t stop until we are gulaged or worse.
Think I’m crazy ? How many times has it happened in history ? Once ? Twice ? 20 times ? No. Time and time again.
Throughout history the righteous have been lead to slaughter for the unjust. Not me. Not now.
I don’t need to defend our stance on immigration. Our stance on immigration is the same (Or easier) than any other country in the world. All I want is to play the same game by the same rules.
Try sneaking across the border in even Ireland. Watch what happens. The Garda will throw your ass in a cell or give you a ride to the airport. If you want to go to Ireland you have to immigrate which can take 2 years. You can’t have a job. You can’t go to school. It’s impossible to get in.
Yet I’m called a racist because I don’t want the same exact people in the country who are bringing in NUKES.. Yes. NUKES. 7 “Nuclear Material” thefts along our southern coast. I’m racist for wanting this border shut down ?
No. I’m done explaining myself. The new explanation is simple. They are my enemy.
And I refuse to debate abortion anymore. It’s undebatable and if you believe it’s a choice to be made then the only thing you deserve from my lips is a loogey in your eye.
Biggest problem has been not having an opposition party.
We thought we had one, but they were mostly working against us.
Trump has enabled the rank and file to effect a hostile takeover of the GOP and if more districts do what mine did and Cantorize their weasels, we have the chance to turn this around.
The "culture" is being transmitted to the young through television. It is warping their ideas about how a real world operates. It is a fantasy that inculcates them with liberal ideology.
Same thing with the movies.
The "font" of culture, is completely controlled by liberals. Till we take over television and movies (and now internet social media) we are going to get endless streams of liberal propaganda warping people's minds.
And thus do they steer elections.
I send my nephews and niece the REAL stats on gay life and I dont know if they think i’m making it up or not because it’s so GREAT on TV to be gay.
