A traumatic head injury, an industrial accident, or a motorsports crash could create that situation. :-(

This is absolutely insane. Even if he gets the heart and lungs to work by machines to keep the head alive, that’s all that will ever happen. He will be completely paralyzed from the neck down. He might as well have his head attached to a stump.
To: EQAndyBuzz
LOL! Maybe that is how they can fund it, put it on pay-per-view!

This whole thing is just a big misunderstanding. All the guy said was that he wanted some head.

The soul will be lost if the operation is successful. They will have a zombie on their hands for a little while until it dies. That is what happened to the monkey. Also similar results when the Russian made those two headed dogs.

I have a feeling that IF this does take place they will not be expecting him to walk and move his limbs afterwards. It may be just life support for hishead.
Unless they have had some major breakthroughs in reconnecting spinal column nerves that I am not aware of.
Christopher Reeve was paralyzed because he broke his.

Its impossible to keep someone alive with their head detached.

What was this movie called? I remember seeing it as a child and having nightmares after. In the 60’s, the networks would show horror movies on Saturday nights before the test pattern came on. I remember in this movie, they were trying to animate several arms being kept alive on a board. But the thing was, they could only animate the arms to do the last movement that the arms had done in life......like constantly combing the person’s hair. Creeped me out, BIG TIME.
