I doubt that rank-and-file military men will heed his call. You can't do a coup if soldiers refuse to join the cause. He is free to do his own coup alone or with a few others. It would be no different than a loud protest at Lafayette Park, after which he and his sorry ilks will be arrested and tried for treason.

No matter who wins in November, there will be civil war. With Trump, it will get worse before it gets better. With Hillary, it will get worse and then it will get even worse.

Why listen to generals who lost wars?

"My hope would be that the conversation would occur quietly in the Oval Office, or somewhere else, to advise him not to continue along this track," Allen said

... and then Trump will lock them all in the closet, and leave them there.

Just sayin' !

I cannot fathom anyone putting on the uniform of this country and being a “passionate Clinton supporter”. Is he suffering PTSD?

I have a question for Gen. Allen. If he, Clinton and Obama are so competent, why is Afghanistan still a clusterf**k?

The sex scandal that led to CIA Director David Petraeus’ downfall widened Tuesday with word the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan is under investigation for alleged “inappropriate communications” with another woman involved in the case. Some of the material was “flirtatious,” an official said.

The upper echelon of the military is corrupt, just like the rest of the elites.

Maybe we need a new rule that a picture of Jill Kelly goes on every Gen Allen thread.

It seems to go with the territory of perverts.

They just don’t ‘think’ straight and are easy prey for bribes.

I swear these guys are becoming ever more a moving/living/breathing parody! They are the chickens running around with their heads cut off! The more they squawk, the shriller they become, the more people tune them out.

So the hierarchy of our military has been completely usurped and corrupted. The transformation is complete.

He had a affair with a woman. That is scandalous. Now if it was a short fat Afghan dancing boy that would be different. He talks about martial law. He may be correct. This corrupt administration will not give up power willingly. They are all subject to going to jail.

General Debbie Allen (RETIRED) seemed unhinged at the DNC. It was bizarre.

" If he had spent a minute in the deserts of Afghanistan or in the deserts of Iraq, I might listen to what he has to say."

So the logic is for a President to be the Commander-in-Chief, he has to have the experience of fighting an enemy? I am sick and tired of this argument. President Lincoln never fought in a war, neither did President Wilson. Franklin D. Roosevelt didn't serve either. Of course, if General John Allen served under any one of them, he would have sung a different tune or risk conviction for treason.

"That's a major issue that we're facing here, the potential for a civil military crisis where the military could be ordered to conduct illegal activities," he added.

odungo is putting women in front-line combat positions and forcing the military to accept and account for transgender personnel, while cutting budgets. But the general is concerned about hypothetical problems with a President Trump? I hate to say this about a Marine Corps officer, but he's way out of line. Must have been promised a high position in a Clinton admin.

When Trump is elected, I wonder if this dude could be brought back on active duty, and prosecuted for his indiscretions. Maybe lose a star, or has it been settled?
