Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg says she doesn't want to think about the possibility of Donald Trump winning the White House, and she predicts the next president — "whoever she will be" — will have a few appointments to make to the Supreme Court.

In an interview Thursday in her court office, the 83-year-old justice and leader of the court's liberal wing said she presumes Democrat Hillary Clinton will be the next president. Asked what if Republican Donald Trump won instead, she said, "I don't want to think about that possibility, but if it should be, then everything is up for grabs."

That includes the future of the high court itself, on which she is the oldest justice. Two justices, Anthony Kennedy and Stephen Breyer, are in their late 70s.

"It's likely that the next president, whoever she will be, will have a few appointments to make," Ginsburg said, smiling....

Courts have no constitutional authority to create or nullify law. Period. Courts issue opinions about laws. The only way a court opinion can become law is if the legislature agrees with a judicial opinion and passes legislation that reflects that opinion.

But the same mealy mouth RINO’s (Bushes, McCain, Romney) can viciously attack another republican running for office! I guess they want to be loved by the liberal MSM.

SCOTUS can rule a law to be unconstitutional, and thus nullify it.

I was hoping sooner, like tomorrow. That way she’ll never know who won the election.

She’s a real POS, a communist without a party card.

“She was probably abused as a child.”

There are things I endured as a child that I wouldn’t share with you, even in private, but I grew up to become a patriotic, right thinking American, anyway.

Ginsburg has probably been coddled her whole life, which is likely why she still thinks like a kid.

I’m sure she’s a very nice lady, after all she was buddies with Justice Scalia for years. I’m a polar opposite politically-speaking but I still think she needs to retire..jmho

She should just recuse her self period. What she said I can’t believe it, I have never heard a SC Justice weigh in on an election.

Ginsburg has also taken the position that the U.S. Constitution is outdated and a poor model for other countries to emulate.

I was being sarcastic! Ginsburg should resign for overtly siding with democrats. And my ears are ugly because my mother twisted them until it hurt bad, when I mis-behaved! Not sure if that counts as child abuse these days.

I don’t want to envision one more supreme court decision involving this unconstitutional traitor.

I suspected you were, but my feelings about Ginsberg got the better of me. She’s an incompetent witch who never should have been confirmed.

Wasn’t Orrin Grant Hatch one of Ginsburg’s staunchest backers? Thanks, UT!
