I agree with this, the early negative ads are a problem. Trump needs to spend someone’s money on this. Ours or his.
For every million dollars of advertising placed the political wonks get a 15% spiff. Typically we are talking several millions that go to various Washington DC players in both parties. Trumps campaign game plan will be run as a business and he will do his best to place ads on a net-net basis saving the 15%. This is one reason that the GOPe is up in arms.

If the GOPe and RNC doesn’t get solidly behind him, they are complicit. Still waiting on Ryan and Cruz to declare something that indicates they actually want to defeat Hillary. Ryan has the same aspirations that Cruz does - gain the WH no matter how much the Will of the People needs to be tramped upon, but Ryan is the true insider while Cruz has become a tool.
