Yup,I did.Geeze...when Nevada,Wyoming,Montana and similar states go that way there's trouble. One can only hope that SCOTUS will come to the rescue.A slim hope today no doubt.
It might surprise some...it surely surprised me...to learn that Vermont, yes,VERMONT,home to some of the filthiest politicians (and people) to have ever walked the earth has some of the most "Second Amendment-friendly" laws and policies in the country.
Vermont. Weird huh. And so close to Canada too. LOL!
That's for sure! Wikipedia gives a summary of all states' gun laws...check it out.In my home state, the Gay State (Massachusetts),the *Pope* would have trouble getting a license. The city's/town's police chief has absolute authority to deny *anyone*...for *any* reason.Or *no* reason.
And your only recourse is an appeal to the *State* Police. If *they* turn you down you're scr*wed
Add to that the fact that SCOUTUS (with,or without,Scalia's vote...I'm not sure) just struck down a Massachusetts law that was upheld by our state Supreme Court on the Second Amendment. At one point the opinion (a unanimous one) said that the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruling was "frivolous" and used other equally dismissive adjectives to describe it.
Check it out if you have a few minutes free...it's "Caetano vs Commonwealth of Massachusetts".It was just recently posted on the official SCOTUS website. It's classic stuff.
