The Winds Appear to Have Shifted In Ted Cruz’s Favor
The Resurgent ^ | April 29, 2016 | Erick Erickson

Posted on 04/29/2016 4:32:28 AM PDT by detective

There were several events yesterday that suggest to me the winds have shifted in Ted Cruz’s favor since he named Carly Fiorina his running mate.

First, John Boehner had a complete and utter meltdown about Ted Cruz yesterday. He referred to Cruz as both an S.O.B. and Lucifer. Then Peter King, the noxious congressman from New York, came out and declared Cruz worse than the devil. He was followed up by former senator Judd Gregg who declared he would rather Trump than Cruz, even though he is a Kasich guy.

The fact that . In fact, more polling out of Indiana suggests just that. Cruz had been behind and the latest polling has the race tied.

So long as Trump continues running and doesn’t massively screw up, he’s got the 1237. Cruz would have to convince fully 1/4th of Trump delegate to switch for any hope of winning.

Mathematically possible, but practically impossible.

Those winds must have blown all his supporters away from his rally in Ft Wayne IN yesterday.

The crowd that looked like about thirty people sat there underwhelmed.

Those people were aiding and abetting a sick maniac who can’t take “no way” for an answer.

Ericsson has been in the bag for Cruz, just grasping at straws.

"Sources close to the Cruz campaign tell me the trends have been in the right direction for them and all these data points tell me the Cruz campaign is not the only group seeing it. The collective freak out over Cruz yesterday — a man with supposedly no shot anymore who can safely be ignored — says a lot."

That not what CNN says:

"[…] Cruz allies and people close to the campaign describe a budding sense of gloom, with internal polls diving as Trump mounted even stronger than expected showings in his native northeast. In Indiana, which Cruz backers once believed they were favored to win after his strong defeat of Trump in Wisconsin, Cruz’s numbers have fallen precipitously: Once leading, Cruz now trails in the state by eight to 10 points, according to a person who has seen the numbers, with Trump over the 40% mark. Cruz’s campaign did not respond when asked about those figures."

Can somebody tell me what Erickson is smoking when he writes "in fact, more polling out of Indiana suggests just that. Cruz had been behind and the latest polling has the race tied"? The internals have Trump ahead, and every public poll of the race has Trump ahead anywhere from 2 to 8 points. Erickson seems to just be out-and-out lying here.

“He kicked himself out.”

Is there any way we can kick him out even further?

You are correct...any Cruz supporters can find out for themselves ....

If you are on the Cruz email list click the unsubscribe link....and you will see JEB2016 RENTAL LIST come up.
But first click on the questions link and you will see this..’SUPPORT@MITTROMNEY.COM“....

Then one more thing ..why did the Cruz campaign give $500,000 to Fiorina waaaaaaaay back in the primary season? And then explain why, until recently, has Carly been insulting Cruz at such a high level....even after she got the money??????!!!!???

Or this tidbit....what about the sweetheart deal from Goldman Sachs? Bout a million bucks or so...that we know about.

The whole Cruz campaign has been the Pet Rock of political history.

One stupid, bizarre Pet Rock gimmick after another, and yet they find a handful of gullible people to buy the worthless Pet Rock, and even walk it around, show it off, baby it like a little Chihuahua, and pretend it is something other than a worthless piece of rock.

Erick, is all this brilliant brain matter you’re spewing what came out from your enema during your hospital stay?

Go eat a triple bacon cheeseburger and some greasy fries.

My take on Boehner's meltdown yesterday:

gopE -- "Well, Ted, we tried to throw our support behind you as you were our last shot at bumping off Trump, but you failed. We never really liked you, but now we need you out of the way so we can try to cozy up to Trump before it's too late. Thanks for playing though."

Cruz can play out the string, but if he gets too "serious" in attacking Trump from this point on, look for the gopE to destroy him.
