Good speech from Fiorina.

I'll have a nothingburger with cheese, please.

Vote "contested convention"...

Vote Trump

Cruz has gone off the deep end and Carly, by playing along with the charade, is looking more and more idiotic that Ted.

I doubt Ted or Kasich peruse FreeRepublic, but, on the off chance they do, it is time to give it up. Nothing more can possibly be gained by continuing this "contest". Neither Ted nor Kasich has a snowball's chance in Hell of getting to 1237 or winning on subsequent ballots. At least, not ethically, morally or sportsman-like.

Look at these numbers:

NY CT DE MD PA RI
Rank 1 1 1 1 1 1
% 60% 59% 63% 57% 58% 65%
Votes 524,932 123,367 42,472 236,623 892,702 39,059

It was a blow out in the northeast the past two weeks! All Gold! Trump is going to be putting these states in play in the general election. Hillary and the Democrats won't have a chance there!

Will they? Step back and look at the bigger picture. Trump loving northeastern Republicans weren't the only ones voting. Hillary and Bernie voters, dispirited as we're told they are compared to the YUGELY motivated Trump voters, also went to the same polls at the same time. Lets compare:

NY CT DE MD PA RI
Rank 3 3 2 3 2 3
% 20% 23% 26% 19% 28% 22%
Trump 524,932 123,367 42,472 236,623 892,702 39,059
Clinton 1,054,083 170,075 55,950 533,247 918,689 66,720
Sanders 763,469 152,409 36,659 281,275 719,955 52,493
GOP% 32% 39% 42% 34% 48% 34%

The top table is just trompe l'oeil (or "Trump l'oeil"?), French for "deceive the eye. Trump's golds turn into a couple silvers and a pile of bronze. His faux impressive percentages don't reach 30% anywhere and don't even reach 25% in most of the NE. His vote numbers weren't impressive, they were big losers to either Hillary or Bernie And the GOP doesn't have a chance in any of these other than its always teasing heartbreak state of PA. The Donald will NOT be stealing any electoral votes from Hillary's solid northeast. Meanwhile across a large swatch of normally reliably GOP states the army of anti-Trumpers may lose him normally reliable GOP states. Rather than making Trump look good, these numbers prove the media theme than Hillary will schlong Trump in the general. That's not to say the numbers are encouraging to alternative GOP candidates, but at least they wouldn't have to defend traditional GOP territory nor would they be counting on any electoral votes from the past two week's primary territory. Their task would be difficult, but not impossible like Trump's.

He picks a running mate just after he has no shot at 1237? Why not pick Rubio? At least he has delegates. And you would get more women votes because he is cute as hell.

I am not big on calling people out for their religious hypocrisy. At all. BUT, Ted says he’s a SOUTHERN BAPTIST (Though many say he’s a “DOMINIONIST”, which his father---who has called Ted “The Anointed One”---claims to be; or even a Mormon, as he stood by while Glenn Beck recited Mormon-specific references, applying them to Cruz, That Cruz is the “raising of the priests” and the fulfillment of the “prophecy of the White Horse.” Or a Seventh Day Adventist, as his wife, Heidi, who has more than once referred to Ted as “The Face Of God.”)

I am Southern Baptist, raised that way. Let me tell you, Southern Baptist are very loosey goosey when it comes to what it accepts or allows in each affiliate congregation (for example, some can dance, some cannot.) BUT….THREE THINGS are not acceptable ANYWHERE to Southern Baptists: GAMBLING, DRINKING, and NOT TITHING:

(Today, Apri 27) During Carly Fiorina’s running-mate acceptance speech in Indianapolis, Fiorina described Cruz as a really fun dude who’s able to make last-second bets on exciting basketball games.
She revisited the final moments of that epic national title game between Villanova and North Carolina. Fiorina and Cruz were watching the game on the bus, and after Marcus Paige’s incredible 3, Cruz threw money on the table. – USA TODAY

On CNN’s Republican Presidential Townhall, Republican candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) told Anderson Cooper that he drinks alcohol “What is your favorite cocktail?” Cooper asked Cruz. “I am a scotch man,” Cruz responded. – CNN [PS---scotch is not a “cocktail; it’s a distilled spirit, a member of the whiskey family.]

According to recently released tax records, the Texas senator contributed less than 1 percent of his income to charity between 2006 and 2010. But many Christians believe that the Bible commands a charitable offering, or tithe, equal to 10 percent of one’s annual earnings. – The Atlantic
