Just received my new debit card from my bank. It has a chip in it. Is this the Mark of the Beast?
They’ll do the implants without telling anyone. Use vaccines. I am not kidding.

I am a cashier @ Target. They time our transactions with each ‘guest’. They keep adding things over which we have no control (this effects timing and all of that...oh well)
Customers complain about the time the chip takes, AND they complain about being hacked... 6 of one, 1/2 a dozen of the other! Personally, I’d rather spend a few additional seconds in line...
If it’s a Lays Chip, no problem.
If it’s a Pringles, burn the Card.
I think the new federal drivers license is the mark of the beast. Need to show birth certificate or it cant be used to fly. Even though I have had a drivers license for over 30 years. I know some states did not comply (Minnesota?)and their licenses cannot be used to verify id at airports. What do you think?

I usually just put mine inside my tin foil hat.
It shouldn’t take any longer than a swipe and waiting for the cashier to get a “verified / rejection” notice.

Well, you know, sometimes I’m absent-minded.
True, but I think those machines are mostly the ones that were designed for every card to be inserted during the transaction. The ones designed to “swipe & remove”, I haven’t seen them with the flashing lights and beepers, it just tells you on the screen to remove your card.
What I did was come up with staffing needs for contacts during operating hours. It is based on customer time, waiting time, and “work” time. That is why they keep timing the transactions.
The best example is a bank or service counter. If there are four windows open, the wait time is probably reasonable. If one of those windows gets closed, the wait time increases.
There are some pretty complicated formulae that go into this. If you are dealing with multiple locations, and millions of contacts—say 30% of them taking fifteen seconds more...the additional time waiting goes up 1,250 hours a month. So, additional cost of waiting adds up to quite a bit over time.
It’s only a few seconds here and there, but the seconds add up in large companies.
