We’ve got the CO party hack system figured out pretty well.

“The CO delegates were originally slated to all go for Jeb Bush. There wasn’t chance in the world that they were going anywhere else.
No one planned for Jeb to be sidelined, but Trump did it anyway.

So Jeb dropped out.

Since he has suspended his campaign, they needed an insider to be a place holder for the delegates and that turns out to be Cruz, who will control those delegates until the Convention, then, after a few slight of hand tricks, they are slated to go back to Jeb, or maybe Mitt.

More on Colorado -“It’s chaos. It’s a cluster #@@#. It’s the ultimate insider’s game,” said Josh Penry, a GOP operative in Denver who chaired Marco Rubio’s campaign in Colorado. “There are so many delegates in play.”......

......roughly 6,000 party activists in Colorado Springs, where 27 of the state’s 34 delegates to the Republican National Convention will be elected.”

So out of a 1,000,000 voters, 6,000 party activists chose 27 PARTY HACKS after viewing each of them on stage for 10 seconds!

.06 % chose the delegates. (Please correct my math if it’s wrong)

SIX-TENTHS OF A PERCENTAGE OF THE COLORADO REPUBLICAN VOTERS CHOSE THE DELEGATES.

Colorado takes the prize for the most corrupt republicans to date.

On election day, it gets even worse. Only nine party hacks will choose the President.

“But here’s the thing: Democratic legitimacy is not just about following the rules as written. It’s about having a set of rules designed to produce a result in line with voter preferences. In some states, the Republican nominating rules are designed to ignore the will of the voters.”

Why wasn't there a caucus with a presidential vote, as Colorado had held in previous years? Because this time the Republican National Committee had ordered states to bind their delegates to actually vote in line with voters' presidential preference. Colorado Republicans didn't want to do that, so they got rid of the presidential vote.

That is, the purpose of Colorado's rule change was explicitly antidemocratic. It took power away from regular voters and handed it to the sort of activists who would be likely to spend a lot of time and energy participating in party conventions.

These were the rules, but they weren't democratic rules.

On the mark and voters will not forget or forgive the nonsense. The GOP will pay for this, rightfully so.

Been saying that since McAmnesty, who really thinks he was the people’s choice after TWO amnesty attempts?

Followed by Romneycare.

Donnie didn’t write that article, it was a well respected site/author. The whole world sees what’s happening and the people are taking their sides.

Cruz and the GOPe on one side, Donald Trump and honest elections on the other.

Puleeze...the Republican power broker ruling class knows best. We are just Proles. Democrats should be really PO’ed because of their “So called “ Super” delegates. It’s their elites.

Regardless of anyone’s current presidential choice, I have a feeling all of this nonsense (serious matter, but reality show mentality on both sides of the aisle) is going to lead to the end of the Electoral College (not that we’ve actually used it in the last 100 years or more). After the 2000 elections there was a Democratic outcry to remove the EC from the Constitution. After cities burn this summer, it will be a national mandate. Donuts for everyone here if I’m wrong.

They only supported him for the NOM after they realized they could use him as subterfuge for the NBC problem of BHO. His campaign was flat broke and he was flying coach back to AZ. BHO had been designated, they needed a designated loser.

All the sudden well-heeled liberal donors start sending McCain muchas dinero. . In the beginning, it was nearly all from the Seattle area. Very Interesting times for us.

I think it was Boss Tweed that said “I don’t care who the voters vote for as long as I get to pick the candidates.” Pretty much says it all as far as I’m concerned.

What concerns me, is people who will conflate these screwy/rigged primary processes, with the general election. Just tonight I see the Lindsey guy (CO burn his card guy) shared a meme touting 1 person-1 vote, no delegates then it say no electoral college. Well, the last thing we want is mob rule in the general, we want a republic that represents, not a stuff the ballot box popularity contest driven by the democrats.
The issue is getting the people’s choice nominated, not the party hacks picking their guy.

I checked the official gop site; https://www.gop.com/official-2016-gop-delegate-count/

Trump has 755 and needs 482
Cruz has 521 and needs 716

There are 798 remaining

Trump needs 60.4% of the remaining delegates.
Cruz needs 89.7% of the remaining delegates.
