Ted Cruz Bodyguards Speak Out, Reveal Cruz’s True Character
Glenn Beck Radio ^ | April 13, 2016

Posted on 04/13/2016 12:32:31 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

When Ted Cruz visited Glenn’s house on Tuesday, Glenn took the opportunity to thank Cruz’s security detail for the job they’re doing, keeping the presidential candidate safe. Then, he put them on the spot with a question only they could answer. “Is he the real deal behind the curtain?” Glenn asked. Having a personal security detail himself, Glenn is well accustomed to situations where the most private moments are on full display to bodyguards. Glenn elaborated during his radio program on Wednesday. “You want to know who I am, you talk to my security detail,” Glenn said. “They know me because they’re with me at my worst and my best, and they see me behind stage and on stage.” Because they have a non-disclosure, security personnell aren’t supposed to answer questions like the one Glenn asked. That being said, it was the manner in which they responded, more than the words they spoke, which told Glenn everything he needed to know. “You can tell by the way people answer or don’t answer,” Glenn said. Watch the video to hear Glenn describe the experience or read the transcript below.

Below is a rush transcript of this segment, it may contain errors.

GLENN: I went up to his security detail. And I just went to thank them for the job they’re doing, keeping him safe. And then I stood there for a while. Now I know, because my security is with me on my most private moments. They have actually been in — in the room with me and my wife because they’ve had to be. Because of situations, it can get tense with my wife and I, or very intimate with my wife and I on delicate things. And so I know — you want to know who I am, you talk to my security detail. Now, they have a non-disclosure. So they can’t — but they know me because they’re with me at my worst and my best. And they see me behind stage and on stage. So I’m standing there next to his — and I know they have a non-disclosure. But you can tell by the way people answer or don’t answer. And I said, “So tell me, is he the real deal behind the curtain? Because I’m never going to see the real deal behind the curtain. In his worst moments, is he the real deal?” Immediately, without hesitation, they turned to me — we’re standing kind of in a line. They turn to me and walk in front of me and look me in the eye, and one of them — the first one said, “I have done this for a long time. I’ve protected all of them. I have never seen a man like him. No matter where he is, no matter what shape he’s in, no matter how tired, how pissed off, no matter what the scenario, I’ve never seen a man as consistently true as him. He says the same thing to your face as to your back. I’ve never seen him inconsistent.” And the other guy just kept shaking his head and said, “This guy is the real deal. He’s the real deal.”

PAT: That’s awesome.

GLENN: That was really awesome.

STU: Yeah, because I asked your security about that and they just looked up at the ceiling and ran away. I thought that was weird.

PAT: Well, they have a non-disclosure. They can’t talk about that.

GLENN: Honestly, that’s how you would respond. I can’t talk about it. That’s how you would do it.

If Trump is the nominee I’ll vote for him and hope he gets in. But if he fails to do what he says (and I hope you are wrong), but....

“Hey - he’s only one guy!”
“The Senate is still full of Rinos”
“If it weren’t for the stupid rules...”

Take off your Cruz blinders then...

Sorry, I live in the real world and try to look at things fairly and honestly...

I don't get my rocks off believing a tabloid story that Ted Cruz is a serial adulterer...

I don't take a statement made by his father in a church and turn it into cult which I now belong to because I'm not a Trump supporter...

I'm not a Cruzlim...a disgusting play on words...

I guess I can play the same demeaning stupid game as Trumpsters...

Take off your Trump knee pads then...

I support Cruz.

That said, unlike Trump, he has what may prove to be a critical weakness (if you can call it that) which hurts him with many voters.

When it comes to the rhetoric he uses while campaigning and debating before a national stage, it is not enough to be truthful and right, no matter how nuanced you present whatever facts you want to get across, you also must somehow be able to persuade all the useful idiots out there with broad general statements geared to elicit feelings as opposed to thought. Truth is these useful idiots have always made up a large percentage of the vote and more often than not play a determining role in outcomes. The Donald instinctively seems to have mastered this needed skill political skill.

I wonder what this site looks like if Trump wins and totally fails to do what he has stated he would do?

I lot of buyers remorse after they get done blaming Congress..

But, that's exactly what is going to happen...

Trump will snuggle up to the GOPe to try and get things done...

He will have no choice as he has no idea how to govern...

Expect him to leverage and deal with the democrats to get the GOPe to capitulate to some of his policies...which will be a noob mistake, since the democrats have been breaking deals since the beginning of time...

I predict after about six months of a steep learning curve, he will basically say F..it...

I tried but these bastards congressman didn't help me...

Trump obviously has a unique skill set for leadership and business, I'm completely convinced he cannot transition to a governing role which takes consensus and compromise though leadership to get almost anything done in government...

He is not cut from that cloth...

We will pay dearly for it..

You, again? These are Secret Service Agents, not a private security detail. They would not lose their jobs for speaking out. They would simply be reassigned and other Agents would replace them.

Oh hi Mr. Delusional. You're the one who thinks that when he gets his butt whipped in an argument he can just go to his safe space and wish his opponent out of existence. Yeah, I remember you. Your dream is to "run something" someday - like a Camp.

Which is why, of course, you think Secret Service agents wouldn't lose their jobs for publicly revealing private information they overhear from presidential candidates. After all, it is literally inconceivable to you that a government employee would ever have to follow the law. What a bizarre concept, eh?

Thanks for playing - again.

"If they want to keep their jobs, what the hell else are they going to say? This is just stupid."

I agree, but going deeper ... I really don't care if Ted is the same off camera and on.
It's the on camera stuff he does that bothers me.

I just checked and Cruz does not have SS protection. I am assuming he has his own security detail.

The character assassination of Cruz is a self-inflicted wound.

Only though the eyes of Trump supporters here...

The mainstream media doesn't character assassination Cruz since the evidence to do so is almost non-existent in the real world...

If it was there, they would be like a dog on a bone...

As a side note, please don't embarrass yourself by telling me the media character assassination Trump...

The little game of getting himself into the news cycle every 24 hours means he self-inflicted wounds are his MO...

Say something stupid or outrageous to get the 30 second soundbite...

He does it on purpose... and then walks it back...the next news cycle...repeat...

Remember, Ted tells the world that he will not copulate with Trump. Thanks Ted you retarded nut job. I thought you were the smartest law student ever at Harvard. Oh and please explain how you won the last eleven elections. God, you twist everything possible and your credibility is shot.

I had a next door neighbor who’s son-in-law was an agent. We had dinner with them once, this during the Clinton years. His money quote, ‘we just protect him, we didn’t elect him.’

I used to listen to Dr. Laura. Then 9-11 happened and for over two weeks there was nothing but emergency information and news on the radio. Then regular programming came back, but Dr. Laura was gone, and in her place this alcoholic (former) ex-disc jockey with a bad back. I liked him. When he drew his million to Washington I was right with him. He had that telephone on his TV show where he dared somebody from the administration to leak what was really going on. Those were the days he may have needed a bodyguard. Then something happened and he went off the rails. Probably started drinking again, be my guess.

I sure have, probably crossed that line myself once or twice in a heated moment...but nothing reaches to the level aimed at Cruz...

I mean seriously; the man is accused of being a cult leader, serial adulterer, religious nutter, liar, snake, puppet of Soros, among other things...

Also, a lot, as in most of the anti-Cruz posts have no actual evidence to back them up...

Simply, it's character assassination liberal style ..to demoralize Cruz supporters...
