The facts are clear: There is no longer any rationale for a Cruz candidacy
The Coach's Team ^ | 3/29/16 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

After the disgraceful conduct of the Republican establishment over the past few weeks, it is clear that Ted Cruz has become a pawn in their scheme to hold on to power.

The feckless manner in which Willard Romney first endorsed Marco Rubio, then John Kasich and finally Ted Cruz shows that he and his co-conspirators have no core principles except gaining and holding onto power. The “little people” believe this bunch of quislings actually care about winning elections, when in fact they don’t. After all, they have already said they would vote for Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump.

The endorsement of Cruz by Lindsey Graham who openly detests him and has stated preservation of their Republican Party is the most important goal in this election – apparently even at the expense of our country--is as cynical as it gets. It makes it abundantly clear that Cruz is either a rube or a willing participant but either way he is not showing himself to be a “principled conservative.”

Having Jeb Bush call Cruz a “principled conservative” is a blatantly patronizing example of what these hypocrites really think about the Senator from Texas. They will say anything to get Cruz to be their errand boy and hang on long enough to give them a “plausible reason” to step in and “save the Republican Party” from George Will’s vulgar and unwashed mob candidate.

As things stand today, when Cruz loses another 173 delegates he will join the noxious liar John Kasich as merely a spoiler doing the bidding of those who have no intention of...

He screwed that vote up. But I'm not going to wait around for perfection, because perfection isn't going to be found in any candidate. But he is the only constitutionalist that will put the brakes on the UN, repeal the 17th amendment, deport EVERYONE that is here illegally, and tackle Islam from a systematic theological basis.

That is beyond the skill set of Mr. "two Corinthians."

Majority Threshold 'Unfair' in G.O.P. Nomination Process, Donald Trump Complains #24
Posted March 20, 2016 2:12:47 PM PDT by nhwingut
Trump has far more delegates than both Romney and McCain at the same time in history. The GOPe always, along with media allies, convinces all to drop out for "the good of the party" and coalesce around the leader. Now they're doing the exact opposite.

Further, Trump is on pace to have more votes than McCain and Romney COMBINED.

I want Cruz to stay in the race for several reasons, and the chance that he will beat Trump is not one of those reasons.

First, something could happen to Trump. If Trump is not in the race, we need a better backup than John Kasich. Whatever you think of Ted Cruz, his voting record is perfect in the US Senate, and his eloquent oral arguments in front of the Supreme Court prove that he has a great conservative mind. If not Trump, then Cruz has the best chance of stopping Kasich or worse. We need Cruz for the same reason my car has a spare tire - just in case.

Second, having two non-Trump candidates makes it harder for the establishment and other anti-Trump voters to unite behind either one. That is good for a first round Trump nomination, which is good for America.

Note: Of the candidates, I think Cruz would be the best president, but I’ll be voting for Trump. Cruz cannot win on the first ballot, and if Trump doesn’t win on the first ballot, it’ll be Kasich or worse. Whatever you think of Trump and Cruz, read what Kasich has to say. Kasich would be as bad as a democrat.

- “Gay ‘marriage’ is settled . . . bakers should bake the cupcake”, is not how you stand up for the religious freedom of those who object to participating in a parody of the sacrament of marriage. [That was Kasich]

- “No, I don’t regret voting for the Assault Weapons Ban” is not how you stand up for the second Amendment. [That was also Kasich]

- Expanding Obamacare in your state is not how you stand up for freedom and for limited government. [That was Kasich too]

- “But for the 11 million people, come on, folks, we all know you can’t pick them up and ship them across, back across the border” is not how you discourage more illegals from invading America and taking our jobs and our tax dollars. [Yes, Kasich again]

I could go on, but even if Cruz is a liar, and adulterer, and whatever else (and I have serious doubts about each), he’s a whole lot better than the non-Trump alternatives. As I do the numbers, Trump’s best chance (other than zero opponents) is with exactly two opponents, and he’s in that sweet spot right now. Let’s keep Cruz and even Kasich in the race.

If you take a look at the numbers, Trump has actually gotten nearly three times as many votes as Cruz.

Trumpmath.

On no planet does any math exist wherein 7.8 million is 3 times greater than 5.7 million.

The useful idiot Ted Cruz cannot beat Trump so therefore he will try be the cabana boy for the GOP to steal this election from We the People! If had any decent characacer left in his soul, he should realize that he has been beaten and allow the front runner to seize power away from the Republican cartel once and for all! This country is gonna go through a major financial crises and we need a professional business man to get us out of this disaster! Cruz needs to get the hell out of the way NOW!

Lets wait until Tuesdays results, shall we?
If Trump takes a huge lead after Tuesday,at that point, get in step GOP, Trump is the nominee.
However, if Cruz is the clear victor on Tuesday, then keep rollin’!

". . . toss Ted the nomination as a reward for doing their dirty work?"

I seriously doubt they "toss" Ted the nomination under any circumstances other than his walking into the convention with more than 1237 delegates and Trump promising to support him. What are the odds of that happening? My best guess on what they might have done to get Ted to toe the line is promise him the VP slot with whoever they, in their great wisdom, select for the Presidential slot.

That gets Ted out of the Senate which the GOPe sees as a plus, gets the "anyone but Trump" crowd more inclined to consider the ticket as dictated by the GOPe, and keeps the Cruzbots happy because Ted is still on the campaign trail go give them a good speech job now and then. It also sets up the facade that Ted has a better shot to be President in 2020 or 2024 when in reality, there are plenty of ways they can keep the VP from being the party choice.

Whether there have been ladies in Ted's past or not, the GOPe elite have something on Ted or he wouldn't have rolled over and started dancing to their tune so easily. For example, Ted has to know that Rubio has had the NE stuff and has been shopping it around for months. Amanda Carpenter has to have heard about it, if nothing else, and does anyone doubt she'd have told Ted even if their relationship is nothing more than here being a major fan of Ted's?

But, what do the GOPe crowed with Ted leading the charge have to say about Rubio and his none too nice campaign crew, at least some of whom are without a doubt sore losers? Nada. Zip. Crickets.

Sad as it is to see, Ted has now been bought and paid for by the very same people he railed against in the Senate. He's settled for far less than any promise to be the nominee due in no small part to the fact that his wife Hedi isn't going to put up with Ted being a former Senator with no connections to leverage. Hedi is as totally a part of the Republican machine as Hillary always has been a part of the Democrat machine and if Ted isn't in a position to play outsider while she leverages her insider game then either Ted or her ambition will have to go.

Which Hedi would shed is something for the reader to consider at their leisure.

Because originally I thought I was dealing with a rational competent person. But then I realized you ether were incapable of viewing a direct link, or you were able to access it but are too irrational to process what was being presented. At that point I just decided you are not worth my time, hence "What Ever".

Yes, after losing Arizona, it is best for Cruz to pack it in. I’m sad about that, but I rather not end up in a contested convention.

Trump is the husband who hollers out his window at young babes on the sidewalk, and then categorically denies it later to witnesses, claiming his is celibate.

I think you pretty much sum up what I’m thinking. Trump is better than the disaster zone they will heave on us at the convention.

What a douche. I have watched the clip about 4 times and have either missed or noted that the subject of Cruz’ supposed infidelity was absent, rendering your point inane.

Apparent they change the video at that link to what ever is current. But I am not here to spoon feed you, so you are just going to have to go out and find it for your self.
