The facts are clear: There is no longer any rationale for a Cruz candidacy
The Coach's Team ^ | 3/29/16 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

After the disgraceful conduct of the Republican establishment over the past few weeks, it is clear that Ted Cruz has become a pawn in their scheme to hold on to power.

The feckless manner in which Willard Romney first endorsed Marco Rubio, then John Kasich and finally Ted Cruz shows that he and his co-conspirators have no core principles except gaining and holding onto power. The “little people” believe this bunch of quislings actually care about winning elections, when in fact they don’t. After all, they have already said they would vote for Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump.

The endorsement of Cruz by Lindsey Graham who openly detests him and has stated preservation of their Republican Party is the most important goal in this election – apparently even at the expense of our country--is as cynical as it gets. It makes it abundantly clear that Cruz is either a rube or a willing participant but either way he is not showing himself to be a “principled conservative.”

Having Jeb Bush call Cruz a “principled conservative” is a blatantly patronizing example of what these hypocrites really think about the Senator from Texas. They will say anything to get Cruz to be their errand boy and hang on long enough to give them a “plausible reason” to step in and “save the Republican Party” from George Will’s vulgar and unwashed mob candidate.

As things stand today, when Cruz loses another 173 delegates he will join the noxious liar John Kasich as merely a spoiler doing the bidding of those who have no intention of...

I agree with most of you. Trump needs to win the 1237 in the first vote. It must be a confirmation of the will of the people, irrespective of the MSM, and the pundits, but more importantly to take the power away from the GOPe. Only in this way, can the people make their choice known to all the rest who would have their way in spite of the overwhelming choice the people have made.

As far as Rafael Edward Cruz (Ted Cruz), his choices define who he is, both personal and professional, and will likely color his run for the White House and thereafter.

“But he is a fraud and now just a tool of the GOPe.”

And the basis for this statement is because since the GOPe hates Orange Gumby so much that they are willing to support what they see as the lesser of two evils?

I know and have read of a lot of murderers, rapists and child molesters that call firemen when they see danger.

So by your definition fireman are just a tool of .....

“And when Trump doesn’t get 1237 (no chance for Cruz to even come close either), will the GOPe toss Ted the nomination as a reward for doing their dirty work?”

Nope. They will laugh at how they destroyed conservatism by pitting conservatives against each other. The GOPe, media and rats telegraphed this back in mid 2015 and instead of coalescing around our two best candidates we chose sides, tore their lives apart personally and professionally and basically turned the nominating process into a farce.

At the convention, the establishment will circle the wagons around the theme of “ now it’s the grown ups turn” and will present a Kacish/Rubio ticket. We did this to ourselves and we deserve everything that happens to us.

but in reality it could damage our side irreparably for the general.

I harbor no doubts that our side is already irreparably damaged. There aren't enough male votes to offset the 70% of the women's vote that will go to Hillary. The Donald has said some very disgusting things about women in this campaign, and I'm not just talking about Carly or Megan. He has no one to stand behind him and whisper in his ear, "Stop that stuff!"

Yeah Coach. So let's all jump on board and elect a 4-year lame duck president with no political allies, with a giant target on his back to get impeached.

Instead of the strict constitutionalist.

For this so-called little person, it is either the Republican Trump, or the Libertarian Johnson.

Johnson, if the Canadian Cuban
Rafael de Cruz is made the faux nominee.

You don’t get this idea from Trump’s positions. There is nothing wrong with “deal making” if your criteria is correct. Trump’s stated criteria is to help the working man/family. Cruz may upset the GOPe, but more likely he is their new guy.

If Trump goes to the convention with 1237+ delegates, I wouldn’t be surprised if the campaign to destroy Trump continues. The anti-Trump Super PAC’s will continue running their ads, the National Review, and Weakly Standard, and droves of talking heads will continue to trash him at every turn. Their goal is to destroy Trump, and if it means getting Clinton elected, they’re OK with that, since Clinton is part of the good-ole-boy network, and she’ll let them get some crumbs off the democrat table.

There is a reason for it if you assume he wants to help the establishment stop Trump. Whatever they promised Cruz, he won’t get, but he apparently can’t see that.

I think you are making one hell of a leap there. The National Enquirer (old reliable)printed an article that makes a charge which Cruz flatly denies. Trump is an admitted philanderer...whats your point?

Well if you believe that, then a man that would lie, and force his wife to lie, about cheating on his wife and kids is the best guy for you.

Why don’t you taken you libel over to DU where it belongs? This is FR, we don’t take Dan Rather and the liberal media’s word for things just because they say so.

#coachsteamisfullofit

The odds aren’t good at all that Trump will get the requisite number of delegates unless Cruz and Kasich bow out right now - and that’s even doubtful given that the ballots are already set and Trump has yet to garner 50% of the Republican vote in any state.

You watch this short interview from last night and you tell me where he flatly denies it:
