I don't think he will make a good president. Historically speaking, the outsider (businessman) candidate has been a disaster for the republicans and by extension it damaged the Country in various ways..

Trump has no political ideology or core values. He only has the "soup of the day" opinion and can't even explain why he came to it..He just say's "it's not right" or it's the right thing...he's just the guy at the local pub with a opinion on most everything who sits down next to you while you are having a quiet beer and a shot. The end result is never very good.

This conservative talk from pubbies is election time tomfoolery. They have been running this scam for 30 years. The Party has been absolutely and completely co-opted; from the Party leaders on down to the rank-in-file members. There is not one shred of anything even remotely recognizable as conservativism. The poster I was replying to was talking across the board cuts. That seems to be a popular suggestion, one which people don't bother to think through.
