No one is saying that Cruz is not a citizen. He is for the reasons you state. The real question is whether he is a NBC or not as far as eligibility is concerned for the Presidency.

We also know that Cruz was a citizen of Canada at birth thru birthright citizenship. It was less than two years ago that Cruz formally renounced his Canadian citizenship. Why he didn't do it sooner is something of a mystery to me. He was a dual national for most of his life. The matter really needs to be litigated in the courts.

I’m all for Trump and Cruz for fighting the GOP. Both parties are trying to nominate someone they like and disregard the will of the people. And it is clearly obvious that the GOP wants nothing to do with either Trump or Cruz. In fact, I’m willing to go as far as to say that they show definite signs that they would rather support the Democrat nominee rather than support Cruz (same meaning as what Bob Dole said)!

I do have a problem with Trump sounding like Code Pink on the Iraq War and like a truther on 9/11. And he’s running for the REPUBLICAN nomination? Seriously? Count me as a Trump supporter whose eyes have been opened by his actions. I LOVE his guts giving it to the liberal media and staking non-PC positions. I have major concerns over his crony capitalist past and his flirtations with Democrat politicians, with no similar flirtations with Conservative politicians.

Trump needs to sh*t or get off the pot. File the lawsuit or shut up.

Like Ted Cruz and his book about the Washington Cartel? How is he going to work with Congress and that liar McConnell? Who has really burned his bridges? Why hasn’t one senator endorsed Cruz? Not one.

Donald Trump dramatically escalated his feud with rival Ted Cruz on Monday, threatening to sue the Texas senator over his eligibility for office if he does not retract alleged **lies** about Trumps positions and calling on the Republican National Committee to intervene on two fronts.

Daniel 3:5-6 "that at the time you hear the sound of the (voice of the Trump) horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King (Trump) Nebuchadnezzar has set up; and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the courts with a civil lawsuit midst of a burning fiery furnace."

The only thing Trump does better than misleading “conservatives” is complain and yell “SUE!”

Trump can’t stand on his own merits because he has none - he only has WORDS that ring true with an overly emotional electorate. I have lost any respect I may have had for him.

Cruz either has a CRBA from the State Department or he does not.

Two thoughts about this.

First - nobody who is entitled to US citizenship by descent from a US citizen parent NEEDS a CRBA. Because the CRBA aggregates other information, it's USEFUL to have one when you need a passport, or for other citizenship-related reasons, but it's not a requirement. Specifically, if there is not one, it does not mean Cruz is not or could not be a US citizen.

Second - if a child of mine was born abroad, I would be at the consulate THE VERY NEXT DAY to get his CRBA, understanding how important and how precious his American citizenship was, and also to demonstrate my resolve from his very first breath to raise him as an American AND NOTHING ELSE.

This second point, I think, is important to adjudicate whether or not any person born to an alien father in a foreign land could possibly meet the "natural born" requirement.

Remember, in 1970 Uncle Sam was still giving out involuntary scholarships to the University of Saigon, as any American living in Canada certainly knew. Regardless of the technicalities about Mama Cruz (did she register to vote in Canada, etc, etc) the failure to clarify - IMMEDIATELY - her and Señor Cruz's intentions about Little Ted's citizenship status does perhaps suggest some ambivalence - certainly (I was in college in 1970) the ability to assert Canadian citizenship was perceived at that time as quite valuable.

I doubt that any court will get involved in this matter unless the (very, very) unlikely circumstance of Ted Cruz's name being on 270+ electoral vote ballots on January 3, 2017 arises. But I do believe the failure to ask for a CRBA until 1986 raises legitimate questions about whether on not the intent of the Founders regarding NBC status would be met in this case.

Considering most of the “money” for the Vets was in the form of “pledges,” I am certain as the pledges come in they will be dispersed to the appropriate organizations. There have already been public acknowledgements of funds received. I do not like your “money laundering’ assertions against Trump. You sound like Cruz and his mud throwing tactics.

As far as the GOP asking for money for Trump, i am sure many Trump supporters did as i did, DELETE the message without response.

I believe Cruz IS eligible per the 1952 Nationality law in effect at the time of his birth.......but if Trump has PROOF that Cruz is ineligible, he owes it to the country to "fix it" NOW.......just like he says he'll fix our country if he becomes President.

The fact that Trump spouts this "ineligible" claim constantly.....calls out threats to sue Cruz if he doesn't "straighten up".... and then refuses to sue Cruz, just backs up my belief that Trump KNOWS his claims are bogus too, but he wants his "people" to continue to spread his meme for political gain

So Mr Trump, back up your threats and "SUE CRUZ" or show yourself to be nothing more than another Obama who threatens repercussions/draws "red lines" and then does NOTHING.

But “citizenship” is not the issue. “Natural born citizenship” is the issue. It is the elephant in the room.

Cruz either has a CRBA from the State Department or he does not. For a citizen born outside the United States that document is the proof that you were born as a citizen of the United States, just as a US birth certificate is the proof that you were born here as a citizen if you are born in the United States, as I have written on before.

A CRBA is proof that you were born a U.S. citizen, but U.S. citizenship does not flow from the CRBA. A person (like Cruz) who is eligible for a CRBA (that is, a person born abroad to a U.S. citizen) is a U.S. citizen from birth, regardless of whether or when his parents fill out the consular form to obtain the CRBA.

This morning the Rubio campaign also called Cruz out for lying . Are both campaigns wrong? Trump was very clear that, except for killing babies and selling their little baby parts, he supported the women’s health activities at Planned parenthood including cancer screening, mammograms, diseases including heart disease. He clearly said( and we all heard him repeatedly) he would cut all funding for baby killing. Cruz, in a blatant lie , says “Trump will fund abortions at planned parenthood”. That is “false witness” but he can work that out with God.
But Trump is now going to select a very favorable district court and appellate circuit. I predict Louisiana. He has standing and will sue Cruz on the issue that he is foreign born and a foreign born citizen can not be President under Article II of the constitution. The Lower court will rule for Trump. The 5th Circuit will rule for Trump and the Supreme Court will lock up 4 to 4 leaving the Appellate court rule standing for this election. Had Cruz not been a sleazy liar about Dr. Carson dropping out at the Iowa Caucasus and shamefully lying about Trump wanting to fund Planned parenthood abortions ,this was not going to happen but it has. So be it. Trump is serious and he will not be attacked by lies or stacked audiences paid by the RNC. The RNC better be very careful. They are next. They had better not break their pledge of fairness and equal treatment.
BTW he won the South Carolina debate despite the rigged audience and with 54% !!! We need a tough president for a very tough turn around of our falling nation.
