Since Facebook seems to be happily ejecting gun folks from it's site (some after years of generating ad revenue for FB), the folks in my gun-related podcasts and radio shows have talked about seeking out alternative social media more friendly to gun owners and freedom loving people.
There was talk about MeWe and Gun District. Just a heads up.
I joined this past week and like it a lot. The site has a lot of potential and a great bunch of people. As for Facebook, I’ve got two words just for them...” “. Ya, them two.
I personally have no problem with LEOs being on there if they are. The vast majority of us gun folks don’t break the law, and the LEOs know it.
Nice! Maybe we can form something like a Free Republic Gunner group if enough of us join.
I think you should have joined Gun District as Russell Faraday or Richard Fannin.
I thought of that, but it’d be easier to find Flagg for people looking for that name.
Haven’t used Faraday for over 10 years on a site that’s probably not around anymore.
Yeah it was a thought. I just remembered the origin of your fr name/ but using Randall Flagg means more freerepublic people will recognize you in gun district.
When enough people get on there, I’ll open Facebook once and tell all my friends there that that’s where I’ll be, and why.
Continuing my FB boycott for the time being, though.
Never heard of it, but I’ll check it out.

D’OH! I was wrong. I also have a 22/45 Lite.
But it’s been in the shop for so long that I forgot about it.

Because I’m a moron.
I got it so my Wife could work on our trigger control. While trying to put it back together, I screwed it up. They’re STILL trying to fix my mistake.

You just can't get any feedback or opinions about guns on FR. Strange, it is.
Putting the 45/70 together:
Pop the barrel back into the thing.
Shove the pin into the rear with the springy thing open.
Repeat.
Repeat again.
Cuss.
Jab thumb with sharp end of springy thing.
Cuss louder.
When pin is in all the way, point gun down and pull trigger.
Pivot grip spring halfway into position.
Point gun up and pull trigger again.
Snap the grip spring flush with the grip.
Forget how to do procedure ten minutes later.
Cuss.
That about right?
