Man Asks Bernie Why he Should Pay More in Taxes, Here’s his MORONIC Response
Young Conservatives ^ | 2/3/16 | Alicia Powe

America is being destroyed by the murder of the middle class and these trends will continue to accelerate if another Democrat is elected.

Sen. Bernie Sanders kicked off a town hall in New Hampshire Wednesday night by ensuring the poor and middle class major tax increases.

An audience member asked Sanders about how his socialist plan to raise taxes would be help him on a $41,000 a year salary.

Sanders claimed people would ultimately save money funding his “Medicare-for-all, single-payer program ” and not having to pay health insurance premiums.

From Breitbart:

Sanders was asked by Chris Brownell, “Senator Sanders, the first thing I hear about you is that you’re going to raise taxes on the middle class. I support my family on a salary of $41,000 a year. I’m wondering if you raise my taxes, how does that help me?”

He responded, “This is what we are going to do, the United States is the only major country on earth that doesn’t guarantee healthcare to all people, and we end up spending far, far more per capita on healthcare, as do the people of any other country, Canada, UK, France, whatever. What we are going to fight for, is a Medicare-for-all, single-payer program, which would provide comprehensive healthcare to your family, and every family in America. So, let me tell you what we do, we raise your taxes if you’re somewhere in the middle of the economy, about 500 bucks, but you know what we’re going to do? For healthcare, we’re going to reduce your healthcare costs by $5,000. So, you’re going to pay a little bit more in taxes, but you’re no longer going to have to pay private health insurance premiums. Now, I’ve been criticized for this, but I believe that healthcare is a right of all people, that we should not have these deductibles and co-payments. We should not be paying the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs, and our Medicare-for-all program will guarantee comprehensive care to all people, and save middle class families some thousands of dollars a year.”

Brownell then stated, “I mean, if it saves me on health insurance premiums, I will gladly pay more taxes.”

Sanders added, “[S]ometimes people distort things. And I’ve had 30-second ads run against me years ago, Bernie is going to raise your taxes! But they forget to say, we’re going to do away with your private health insurance premiums. Bottom line here is, we spend almost three times more per person than the British, 50% more than the French. We can save substantial sums of money, and my Medicare-for-all system is funded in a very progressive way. Yes, you’ll pay a little bit more, but your health premiums will disappear.

He’ll just raise your taxes and the government will be in total control of your healthcare. What a deal!

No thanks, Uncle Bernie.

We are not France or Denmark or Canada.

Money in public health care funds is the easiest for the politicians to steal.

Bernie idiotically believes that healthcare is a “right,” so the government must provide it. My second amendment is a right, should the government buy me guns?

If you love the VA then you’ll love Berniecare.

if he's going to tax him $500 more and provide him with a $5,000 benefit, why not just give him a $4,500 benefit and leave his taxes alone?
Just like those scammers claiming to have a $10k gov't grant waiting for you, if you send a $200 "processing fee" to them through Western Union. Same bunch of con artists.

What the questioner doesn’t realize is with the deductible he’s going to be in the hole. I wonder if the man was a plant or he actually believes after the obamacare debacle, he’s going to save money.

If government health care is so good, then government law care must be even better.

How about we turn over the supply and delivery of groceries to the government ?
Different prices for the po’ folks ? Minorities ?

I’m surprised Obama hasn’t proposed it...

Here is the key to the truth. This jamoke pays $500, the rest of us pay the $4500 left over.

Heck, under Obamacare if you are over 70 and have a stroke you can only be offered end of life treatment.

I guess we don't have Obamacare after all then. I see people over 70 every day who have had strokes and are getting all the care they need.

Has anybody ever asked Bernie if he has ANY investments? A 401, stocks, bonds, etc.

If he does, then he is participating in what he calls Wall Street fraud.

Fess up Bernie!

Another wasy fo phrasing it: If paying $500 more gets me $5000 more, who is going to pay for the difference? How does “government” turn $500 into $5,000?

Oh wait! I remember - we’re going to make the nasty rich people pay the difference! Because they OWE you...

The first congress proposed exactly that, buying guns and giving them away! Good sense kicked in on the argument that people would not care for the gun(s) gifted to them.

I think in his former life, he was a haberdasher.

This guy is so obviously a plant, he should change his name to Phil O'Dendrun.

The only way to implement a government-run health care system is to enslave everyone who provides health care services.

And we outlawed slavery in this country after the Civil War.

I wonder if that part of it hasn’t kicked in yet? I’ve read that on a couple medical blogs over the last couple years.

I’m actually writing a novel about an abrupt “change of management” to the federal government. One element of the system to be installed in that is lawyers are all government employees and ineligible to vote or hold public office, but are exempt (along with the military and law enforcement) from the 12 year limit on a government job or elected office.

Bernie is a communist. One of his axioms is that everything belongs to everyone, so yes taxes will rise accordingly to pay for everything. He doesn’t see this as a problem. “From each according to his means, to each according to his needs” (with the majority deciding what “needs” entails, and individuals stripped of “rights”).

I saw that and I thought it was a staged question. The idiot just blindly agrees with Sanders after that half ass answer.
