It seems you don’t have to shoot the messenger any more, just get a Texas grand jury to forget about that ham sandwich and indict the messenger, in this case David Daleiden, director of the Center for Medical Progress, and another pro-life activist, Sandra S. Merritt, for their videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s booming business of selling the body parts of aborted babies for cash.

Exactly.
The left worships the baby killers because they give money and vote.

Oh That Would Be Wacist.

Prosecuting illegals for using fake licenses and social security cards - or worse, using stolen cards - is a Big No No.

Only Evil Americans can be prosecuted for such crimes, even if they are doing it for the very good reason of exposing a hideous felony.

Illegals gotz rightz, ya know? They don't gotta follow no Steenken' Greengo laws.

If Cruz still has a Texas law license, he should jump in on this and offer to defend them pro bono.

The publicity and good will would be huge.

That fake license was not used to deceive any government entity, or to defraud anyone of property or money. It was used to get the TRUTH out about a murderous enterprise, from their own lips.

Investigative journalism died a lot longer ago than 2016, otherwise Soetoro's real birth certificate and college transcripts would be public knowledge; Vince Foster's murderer would be exposed and brought to justice; Hilldebeest would be rotting in jail for several activities long covered up by the MSM; Bill Clinton would be registered on several sex offenders lists, etc. But no, the motto of the media has become, "move on...nothing to be seen here (unless you are a Republican or a Conservative)."

You’re forgetting the diligent work the MSM did in 2008 on the status of Joe the Plumber’s trade license and the DNA of Palin’s Down Syndrome child!

Good point, maybe should have read “Undercover journalism”

Daleiden was nearing the end of a 30-month caper, which saw him train a team of undercover activists to help him infiltrate Planned Parenthood by posing as representatives of a fake tissue-procurement company. The goal was to surreptitiously record videos that could prove the organization had illegally sold fetal tissue for profit.

Daleiden and an associate breezed past the building’s metal detector, and allegedly presented as identification a phony California drivers license with the name of an alias, Robert Sarkis. In normal cases, the use of a fake ID would not warrant felony charges; a grand jury would not, for example, throw the book at an underage kid using a phony government ID to pick up a six-pack of beer. But Texas state law includes a provision that elevates this transgression—knowingly using a fake government document—to a second-degree felony if “the intent is to defraud or harm another.” The grand jury decided that Daleiden’s goal was to do just that, by using his cover story to make a covert recording designed to damage Planned Parenthood’s reputation...

The grand jury never even took a vote on whether to charge Planned Parenthood with a crime. Instead, it concluded that Daleiden and his associate, identified as Sandra Merritt, 62, should be indicted...

The additional misdemeanor charge against Daleiden stems from a letter he sent to the Planned Parenthood affiliate a few months after the meeting, according to Josh Schaffer, an attorney for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast. .. Attaching a proposed contract, Daleiden offered to pay up to $1,600 per fetal tissue specimen, according to Schaffer, who suggests the steep price was designed to illustrate profit...

But Schaffer, the Planned Parenthood lawyer, told TIME that Planned Parenthood officials never responded to the offer. “In Texas, the crime is the offer to buy,” he said. “The other party does not have to accept the offer.” More: http://time.com/4194226/planned-parenthood-david-daleiden-felony/

Not necessarily.

The prosecutors, one of whom seems to have ties to Planned Barrenhood, argued that the pro-life folks had engaged in fraud. Having done that they would have undermined themselves to have presented the recordings as being legitimate evidence.

The pro-death crowd has been crowing a lot over this though, many acting as if it is tantamount to a conviction. But a grand jury only considered if the evidence that they are presented with is enough for a trial, not if actual wrongdoing was done. Likewise, them deciding there isn’t enough admissible evidence doesn’t mean they personally think nothing illegal may have happened.

When my mom was in her late 50’s, she got a fake ID. It showed her as over 60 so she could get the senior discount at a ski resort.

Yea, that’s my mom.
