The Dirty Little Secret: here is the dirty little secret, the GOPe is regrouping and looking to cut their losses. They are doing what they always do and re-calibrating. They know that one of their guys probably ain’t getting the nomination. They are looking at Trump and getting over the fact that he took a Shiite all over their Jeb coronation. They are seeing a guy that perhaps they can work with. After all, he donated to democrats in the past and held a variety of positions that conflict with where he is now.

Cruz?!? No way the establishment thinks they can work with him. They are hell bent on blowing him off the map. And how would they go about it? Would they perhaps do what they did in Mississippi. Would they suddenly go birther as they did against Obama? Oh, they didn’t do that. New ground here. Or would they suddenly act like “New York Values” means supporting first responders? Hmmm.

I do not believe the GOPe can manage, control or dictate to either Cruz or Trump. Cruz realizes he has three weeks to put his campaign on the map and he is going for broke. The only problem is there is a giant gorilla he has to wrestle to the mat before he wins. That gorilla has a nasty habit of clobbering anyone who makes him angry. With the number of candidates previously trashed by the gorilla, Cruz had to know what he was getting into. It is hard to feel sorry for him - this is warfare for the big political enchilada. Trump is a winner, no ifs buts or maybes. By the way, Trump said he is going to basically live in Iowa the next three weeks.
