Donald Trump: The Least Charitable Billionaire In The World
News Examiner ^ | 8/15 | Ben Davis

Posted on 12/27/2015 3:11:11 AM PST by St_Thomas_Aquinas

How miserly is The Donald?

From 1990 through 2009, Trump has personally donated a total of just $3.7 million to his foundation, which was incorporated in 1987. In fact, the billionaire is not even the largest contributor to his own charitable organization.

Tax returns show that World Wrestling Entertainment has given Trump’s foundation a total of $5 million in return for the developer’s assistance in working a couple of televised angles along with WWE boss Vince McMahon. The WWE gave Trump’s foundation $4 million in 2007 for his help in promoting that year’s WrestleMania festivities, and another $1 million in 2009, when Trump (pictured below with McMahon) pretended to purchase part of the WWE empire.

The real estate titan’s foundation has also banked $205,000 from media outlets and supermarket tabloids in return for exclusive photos (People magazine, for example, paid the foundation $150,000 in 2006 for the first shots of Trump’s newborn son Barron).

During the past two decades, the Trump foundation has made charitable contributions totaling a paltry $6.7 million.

Helmsley, by comparison, gave $5 million to the American Red Cross when New Orleans was submerged, and, post-9/11, she gave $5 million to the New York Police and Fire Widows and Children*s Benefit Fund.

In 2006, Trump’s foundation did give $1000 to the New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Fund, a controversial Scientology program (co-founded by Tom Cruise) that promoted a *purification rundown* for firemen and others who inhaled toxins while working near the smoldering remains of the World Trade Center.

Isn*t it, though? It*s like fallacies on parade.

It'd make a great school exercise to ID them, but I'd be too ashamed to tell anyone such pap came from a conservative political website.

Since the story you posted claims no one really know, why try to state such things as fact? Do you not know what a fact is? Are you a liberal that only goes by "feeeeelings"??
Always remember, no matter how ill-conceived, poorly written or one-sided, as long as a Trump criticism can feed a TDS sufferer's neurosis, they deem it A-OK!

Ya know...I haven’t decided exactly whom I would vote for, but watching the Trump bashing about charity has provided some clarity about his NON supporters.

So how much should Trump donate to win your moral approbation? No one has a right to what you own. Nor do you have a moral obligation to share your wealth.

You’re being disingenuous. I’ve said nothing about Trump donating or not donating to charity. My comments have only been about the silly responses by his supporters.

I recommend you ask St. Jude Children’s Hospitals .. where he has donated $30 MILLION.

Gee .. a little investigation please .. before you start raking people over the coals.

But, I guess that’s asking too much.

Not really. If you proclaim Trump the least charitable billionaire in the world, you have to back it up by facts, such as comparing his donation history to that of every other billionaire in the world. Have you actually done that? If so, publish the data, if not, then you don’t have any credibility on this topic.

Just a guess. His companies donate to charities rather than from his personal account. $300K per year is way way too low and not probable.

Maybe he got some tips on the golf course how to spread it out in various charitable events...

You do note no matter what's reported about Trump unless it's favorable to Trump his supporters will quickly excuse everything and anything he does or doesn't do?

Just like when Obama ran and we all tried to warn people...these folks aren't going to consider either regarding Trump. The similarities of how Trumps Primary run is going ,and the supporters, are strikingly similar to that of Obama's, with props, media and social media.

Things are never what they're initially presented as with Trump...
