Black Lives Matter plans to boycott Black Friday, claiming that a way to spread awareness of their movement is to hurt the US economy. The group also wants "Black Friday" to be renamed "BlackLivesMatterFriday."
"Let's hit America where it hurts!" reads BLM's website. "I challenge you not to spend one dime on "Black Friday". Let's black it out, and make sure not one black face is littering the local mall!"
The group is using the catchphrase "Hands Up, Don't Shop:"
A Facebook group devoted to the boycott exclaims that "we must slow or stop the american economy around retail Goods [sic]."
It further reads, "Black Friday has been shown as a day were people put shopping before people lives and we are not ok with that especially when hundreds of unarmed people of color are gunned down by police every year with no charges filed against the police officers --we are taking black friday back from the nation and permanently renaming it #BLACKLIVESMATTERFRIDAY."

Black Fridays Matter
Most of the BlackLivesMatter protesters I saw in the NYC Macy’s were white idiots.
I am thinking these young clowns need to be subjected to the draft and we find a place to send them like Viet Nam. That way the can find something REAL to protest.
And if "Hands Up, Don't Loot" applies on Black Friday, I don't imagine too many merchants are going to be upset.

Black Lives Matter doesn’t matter!
If they all stop using their EBT cards, the Indians and Pakis at the Stop & Shop are the ones going to be hurt.
I ran across an article in the NY times claiming blacks made up 39% of the US population. Of course, no way to rebuff that lie as the comment section was nowhere to be found.
with all the activists staying home sounds like a good day to go shopping. I hope the good and decent black faces dont stay home, just the thugs. Same with the white ones...maybe they can join the boycott too

I have gone to exactly *2* Black Fridays in my life.
One was at Best Buy, when they first opened here, for some reason I can’t recall and the other was last year at Office Max.
That one was mellow and even though I rolled in ‘too late’, I still got a cute little Samsung Galaxy thingy that I take on the bike to show potential customers pics of trike kits.
Other than that, I never use it.
I still have an iPad 2 I got on a whim years ago.
Have yet to figure out what it’s any good for, except doodling and reading e-books on.
I buy various electronic stuff the rest of year and almost always get better prices than Black Friday deals.
I steer well away from Wally World.
I *think* they’re open right now but the ‘big deals’ start at 4...or maybe 6.
I forget.

Can’t recall which because frankly, you could not pay me to go.
Unless I was taking one of my support Dobes along.
